New Spectrum is an alias garnering influences from big beat producers The Chemical Brothers, to house musician Thomas Bangalter and all the way to the synth pop band Yazoo. The Irish born, Berlin based producer’s debut under this alias is a two track EP of intense energy, italo basslines, piano and big synthlines. 

‘Secret Highway’  is a blend of synth pop, breaks and a vocal reminiscent of Alison Moyet, all combined to make a fresh take on the edgy sound of the 80’s. ‘Home Vacation’ takes a different approach with sweeping pads, strings and multiple layers of melodies to make up a zestful and fun party track. The lead track 'My Desire' is a heart racing, hands in the air anthem featuring the sophisticated vocals of the ever talented Jennifer Jamieson. The Euro Club Mix fine tunes the track into even more of a party starting heater, providing a driving energy to back up the infectious vocal work. Spies - Watchman (R.Kitt Remix) - 28.11.19

A year after the release of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Constancy’, alternative 5-piece Spies have shared a remix of Watchman, one of the albums more club focused tracks.

This remix comes courtesy of Dublin producer R.Kitt who describes the track as ‘Acid Dub’.

Those who have seen Kitt live recently will be familiar with the remix which he has featured in his sets at Boiler Room x AVA Festival 2019 and All Together Now.

This is the first of three remixes to be shared by the band with upcoming collaborations with producer Rían Trench (Solar Bears) slated for release in the new year.

In addition to this release the band have announced a new show in Dublin’s Whelans on February 15th. Tickets are on sale on Eventbrite from 10am on Friday, 29th of November.
