New tune! I've scratched my head on this one for close to around two months now and finally got to a point where I feel like I'd be comfortable enough releasing it. The entire track really began in a Sound Design session that was never intended to lead to what would be a whole track again lol. I had a vision of what I wanted this track to be and represent for me, with a lot of emphasis on square shapes specifically, whether in oscillators for sound or in animation for the audio-visual story (Which, the music video is still to come. I'm taking my time with fine-tuning it first though before I release it.)

Started messing around with Square and Pulse Waveforms in u-he's "Tyrell N6" Synth VST Plugin and became really taken in by the roundness to the sound in the top-end. Not sure if I've heard a Square Waveform quite like it, at least, synthesized digitally. I liked it enough to create the melody that plays throughout the beginning of this track, and from that melodic progression of Midi, this track was birthed from there. The entire 1:30 seconds had already been finished for several weeks before I finally went ahead and dove back into the project. Ultimately really glad I finished this one in the end. Enjoy!

With great pleasure we welcome the colombian artist and label owner of From A Lost Place @launaea for our tenth episode of the Herbarium mix series.
He chose the very special plant Espeletia, also called frailejón for his musical journey.

The frailejón is a distinctive high-altitude plant found in the paramo ecosystems of the Andes mountains in South America. It is characterized by its rosette-like arrangement of leaves, which are covered in fine hairs to retain water and protect against harsh environmental conditions. Frailejones play a vital role in the ecosystem, serving as water reservoirs and providing habitat for various species.
They reach imposing heights, cover vast tracts of terrain and transform the landscape of the páramos into a green tapestry that blends with the sky and mist, allowing those who contemplate it to immerse themselves in its natural majesty. This adaptation and resistance of the plant could be metaphorically compared to the intrinsic energy of this podcast immersing the listener in a world of intense, challenging and constantly evolving sounds, transporting them into an immersive and emotional listening experience.
