Head honchos Elfenberg are back with another EP on their imprint. This is one of many, and what will be a busy year for the duo. What corona and cancelled gigs took away in 2020, Elfenberg will make up for in 2021, starting with this beautifully crafted 4-tracker. Swiss label Drumpoet Community celebrates its 15th anniversary with various releases from artists who have played a significant role in the label’s history and beyond. After first festivity outings from Lauer, All Is Well, Manuel Tur, Roman Flügel or Kalabrese, the time for a retreatment of Jimi Jules’ track Too Young For Me (feat. Jaw), which was originally released on Jimi’s Equinox album on Zukunft in 2016, from long-term friend and considerable artist Ripa alias Ripperton. With releases on ESP Institute, Maeve, Compost or on his very own label Tamed, just to name a few, Ripa’s made a name for himself that goes beyond the so called underground but despite his (international) success has managed to stay true to himself as well as his musical roots and implemented a sound of his own throughout the years of his career. A raw and stripped back bass line sets the foundation of Ripa’s remix approach for Too Young For Me, which is added the original vocals and a simple yet subtle array of chords creating some warmth, and almost funky harmony in the overall pretty techno-ish coming in track. Less is more in this case and Ripperton masters this approach in the best way possible to create a remix that truly deserves to bear the name.

Exclusive Dodi Palese 'Rain Dance'

Producer, DJ, label-head, vinyl-addict, Dodi Palese's affiliation to music seems infinite and his tracks represent an extract of this endless passion in a limited time of being. With his 'Erika EP' the Italian releases a three tracker on Munich based label Compost, consisting of two originals and a remix by his friends and music companions Lehar & Musumeci, depicting a small repertoire of his musical preferences and state. 'Rain Dance' literally just does what the track title suggests, it causes the listener to dance in the imagined irreality of raindrops, pictured by diverse synth-pad-sounds, falling into raised arms as the listener's mind expects the beautiful touch of them, to be touched by the melodies Dodi created while the feet rhythmically brush the accumulated water on the ground. It's not only a rain dance but the rain dancing.


Dodi Palese's EP 'Erika' will be released on Compost Black Label October 19th, 2018.

EXCLUSIVE: Dodi Palese - Rain Dance [Compost]

The drums roared triumphantly, they banged and boomed as if they were being hit by some fantastic hammer. Marching through the streets the parade was the centre of attention as onlookers watched from apartment blocks and balconies. The colour and chaos on display was easy on the eye and captured the imagination of a city under siege. This was the "Tudo Bom" procession and it was designed to uplift spirits and shake the establishment to its core. Dancing to the beat of the drum, they made their way forwards with pride and purpose, on towards city hall. 

Bigamo is the record label run by Frank Wiedemann of Âme. On this EP Abrão's music is put to the test as it is remixed and reimagined by a talented assortment of producers and musicians, including Sado V.
