For Casomat's second release we're extremely happy to welcome Berlin duo Man & Wife to the label, who contribute two diverse originals served together with a remix by Johannes Klingebiel.

Man & Wife, originally from England, have spent the last 7 years in the Techno-Hauptstadt, not only honing their production skills but also developing their musical tastes, drawing in influences from all over the electronic spectrum. They describe their sound as "fundustrial dischno" and it's not hard to see why when you hear their varied productions.

'Blonde' is an understated four-to-the-floor number, sitting on the border between house &techno and elegantly pairing soul & melody with raw & almost industrial sounding drums. An interesting combination which bridges the gap between styles not normally heard together.

Stepping up to rework 'Blonde' is Johannes Klingebiel, whose recent releases include a 12" on Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space and an LP on his own 'ancient future now' imprint. He lays a garage-influenced groove and a bouncy bassline under the main arp from the original, with plenty of lush reverbs, spacey delays and tasteful distortion to boot.

ML Premiere: Man & Wife - Blonde (Johannes Klingebiel Remix) [Casomat]

After all the Smoke & Ashes that was launched in our BeenTouched series, Pete returns to Sincopat now in the main and front line. Trying Not To the almighty Gabriel Ananda on remix duties.

Pete continues exploring the sound and giving emotion to his music today in form of three new tracks full of soul and heart. Trying Not To is a tight huge track that will burn the most demanding places. Master Gabriel Ananda presents an exquisite version rich in details and getting a fantastic balance between deep and tech. We knew he is a quality stamp. 

Graphium follows the futuristic and tasteful line of Electronic Music. Sinister and dark voices for a devastating effect on the dancefloor. Me My Molly shows Pete’s more elegant stuff. He goes a bit deeper with sensual melodies but for sure also a great pick of the night. But, as Pete says, let the music speak by itself.

Our French amigo Darlyn Vlys returns to his home Sincopat with another special ep along Tunisian and very talented producer HearThuG. After their ‘Atoms of Love’ included in the Vomvo album 02 mixed by AFFKT, the boys come back putting the level even higher than before. 

Agore is a fantastic piece of music between the purest deep and electronica. The great original mix walks thru dark and rich places. Haptic voice is added with his particular and sweet sound. For the Cosmo edit delicate synths are added for a new and nice vision. 

For the remix, the British but established in Berlin Eric Volta offers a film 14 minute trip taking items from different styles. Hard to get a definition, but for sure a stunning and clever version of this Agore. The whole ep is absolutely a surprising journey thru the Electronic Music.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. A new Chapter is upon us, and with it Luis Leon returns to the fold for Chapter 24 to deliver four musical pieces of the highest order.

Luis’ outspoken sound with carefully crafted productions, poised basslines and striking synths is once again on show in a concept EP built around the theme of space.

Opening things up, 'Eta Carinae' burns brightly. An organic groove underpins exploratory synths which echo into the void.

‘Betelgeuse’ follows and lives up to expectations, a massive, more driving track which hits home hard on the dancefloor over its eleven minutes.

A moment of respite is offered by ‘Relativität’, its languid groove striking a pause in space and time, before the eponymous ‘Schwerkraft’ closes the EP with its beguiling, atmospheric broken beat. 

All in all, four stories in sound which offer up a treat of cosmic proportions.

Released on Friday 4th November.

Nothing Is Real welcome Low Manuel for the 6th release of the label. 

Low Manuel is a real music lover born in Italy in the 90’s.  His music vision is the expression of his character, introspective, dark and sophisticated.
His style is a mixture of indie electronic but also Techno and his compositions transmit emotions, influenced by the Stars and the Marine World. The 'Scourge Ep' explores new musical shades, hinting at moments of new wave through a lens of psychedelia.
The title track is a trip with an incredibly catchy rhythmic pattern and a strong bassline, while 'The Room’ has a ravey hypnotic and powerful touch.
The Italian duo Margot remix ’The Scourge’ delivering a strong version with their typical synth-driven kraut-techno style adding insane beats, fizzing synths and peaking chords for optimal dancefloor effect. While Nhar gives us his unique and introspective reinterpretation giving the track a mesmerizing deep electronic vibe, taking us to a journey between the bright and dark sides.
