Zeitraffer Records is a record label in the realm of electronic dance music, based in Germany. It was founded in 2015 by Christian M, who is its owner and managing director. The idea goes back a few years, but was implemented completely only now for financial reasons. That is why Zeitraffer Records is still at the beginning of its career. Through the long-cherished dream of self- produced and distributed music, individual and diverse sound elements could be collected over the years for music production, which now mark the sound of Zeitraffer Records as unmistakable, fresh and innovative and thus have the potential to be club hits. By deliberately missing collaborations or other influences exercised by third parties, Zeitraffer Records represents original personal sound with recognition value. Right from the inception of its idea of music to video production, merchandise, marketing, gigs and so on, everything remain within its own production, whereby a reliable basic concept with flexible elements is provided. Attention to detail, German title, English vocals, unique sounds, generation of bipolar atmosphere and driving beats - that is the mission of the label for good music. Musician and producer Stevie R makes a welcome return to Chapter 24 Records with his Melt album, in which he showcases a desire to bring back ‘rebetiko’ - the little known, underground ‘blues’ music of his native Greece, music that was often outlawed due to its anti-establishment themes. As its name suggests, Melt is a melting pot of sounds and an intricate journey through the musical cosmos, an enticing and alluring soundscape that captivates the listener and invites them along for the ride. 

“Melt is the story of 13 animals trying to go to space. Each animal is a figure in the artist's life, accompanying the others on the difficult journey. Nobody knows where space is, what it looks or feels like. To me, space is where our fears disappear, our loved ones stand beside us, and the fights in our mind cease. Nevertheless, there is a different journey for each and every one of us, our Universe is unique and the animals always look different; in this journey we travel alone.” - Stevie R 

Melt is Stevie R’s platform to bring the rebetiko music that he was raised on, sounds that he believes are a real healing tool, to a wider audience.  The album unites the music from his childhood with music from Greece’s neighbouring countries - Egypt and Turkey. 

Gkii, written alongside Egyptian poet and glitch producer CERPINTXT, is a call and response song between the melodies of both Greek and Egyptian instruments, a cross-cultural dialogue that marries the two in a beautiful union as the track unfolds.

August Artier is a talented DJ and music producer who has been building a solid reputation over the last few years. He was originally born in Australia, were in the early 90's, he was introduced to electronic music hearing drum & bass mix tapes sold in a trendy Sydney based hippy market. Then, while still in his teens, a family move to Italy meant that he discovered a growing European dance music scene with DJs like Leo Mas, Gemolotto, Fabrice becoming big influences on his taste.

It wasn't long before his passion meant that the day job, in a chemical factory just wasn't cutting it anymore and he decided to make DJing and music production his life. Since then his strong work ethic and growing skills have led to shows at Space (Ibiza), Ambasada Gavioli (Slovenia), Il Muretto (Jesolo), Kit Kat (Berlin), Mini Club (Valencia), Blinq Club (Amsterdam) and festival shows that include Grape Festival (Slovakia), Meet me (Slovenia), Home (Italy)

Last year he decided to set up home in Ibiza and was quickly snapped up by Ibiza Global Radio to host a weekly show featuring his unique selections of deep house and techno and he was also offered a residence at Hostal La Torre where he curates eclectic DJ sets to compliment the picturesque setting.

His recorded output continues to grow releasing music on labels that include Baile Music, Samani and Inside Out. This year he has forthcoming releases on Exotic Refreshment, Lauter Unfug and Get Physical / Kindisch.

His newest EP entitled La Makumba will be out on Exotic Refreshment LTD on April 22 and will include two original tracks ('La Makumba' and 'Who Are You'), but also three remixes from Genii & Noraj Cue, Kyrill & Redford and Fatoumata.
