Cheshire County Council asked me to write a poem for their Registry Service Weddings Brochure. I wrote two - this is the one they chose not to use ;)  

When my book Navigation came out, a friend called me and said, "You never told us that you'd written about our wedding!" I said that I hadn't. "But you DID - it's so accurate, even down to the bit about my mother blackmailing us!" That's kind of the point - all weddings are like this, aren't they?
