Now live at the Blur Podcasts, the Brooklyn based DJ duo - Pintauro Brothers! 

Over the past few years, the pair have begun to carve out a name for themselves as a dynamic DJ / Producer duo known for their eclectic taste in music and experiences. Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, their work maintains a fine balance of modern electronic production and a live feel, a testament to their New Orleans roots.

Over the past ten years, the Pintauro Brothers have showcased their talent across the United States, with a special emphasis on the vibrant New York City club scene for the last five years. Their live sets, filled with energy and a mix of live elements, have adorned popular local clubs such as Jupiter Disco, TBA Brooklyn, and Café Balearica.

Their music has found homes in labels like Midtown House and Good Tempo (the twins’ independent label established in 2022), with forthcoming releases on the likes of Nervous Records. Their growing body of work showcases the Brothers' versatility and commitment to trying new things.

For our 2nd podcast we introduce a pioneer of the UK scene, Aubrey. Aubrey´s sets and productions are well known for their sophistication having released over 100 records since 1990 on labels such as Metroplex Records, Ostgut Ton, Nightime Drama, Mosaic and of course his own label Solid Groove.  

Beside working in the studio recording his solo EP´s, Aubrey is a desired remixer, reshaping tracks for people like DJ Stingray, Marcel Fengler and others. 

This incredible set is a perfect line between house and techno, with a jazzy, trippy and soulful vibe.

1) Are you an early bird or a night owl? 
Half and half weekends a night owl.. in the week early to get things done.

 2) What is your home city and what makes it special?
My home city is Portsmouth in the south of England. what makes it special is to be close to the sea and the old history in the old town.

 3) The term DJ's DJ gets thrown around a lot these days, who is your DJ's DJ? 
Theo Parrish and many more… all depends on the night and situation :)

4) Tell us all about your next up-coming release?
There a lot of releases and remixes on some great labels coming in 2017.  The one I am mot excited about is my third Album which will be mixed down in March this year and out on a secret label later in the year. My first LP since 2001.

5) What has been the stand out track that you've playing this month?
A track from my friend in Brooklyn New York. Only a test press at the moment but out this year. Kimyon Huggins-Waiting
