Slow, deep and steady. This live set turned out like that. Exploring the 100 bpm mark on this live set was lots of fun! An improvised live set with my machines, surrounded by friends and trees, figuring out new ideas on the go and experimenting with sound and rhythms in this environment was magical. Can’t be happier about it! What a beautiful gathering. Long live Perpen!

The 83rd episode of the vurt podcast features a 90-minute hybrid set by Third Space, an experimental artist based in Melbourne, Australia, who explores the boundaries between neo-classical and drum and bass (DnB) to create a distinctive musical world.

Third Space is an experimental artist who creates deliberate tension and release through complex polyrhythms and hazy, diffused sonic textures. Across both live performances and productions, Third Space masterfully blends warped and twisted sounds, intense suspense, and intricately entangled layers to evoke a heavy and uncanny atmosphere. In his performances, sound manifests as a tangible resonance-raising questions and inviting reinterpretation by the audience.

Under the full moon’s silver gaze, a tribe gathers to awaken the ancient pulse. As their ritual unfolds a portal opens, spiraling into hypnotic rhythm and luminous trance. Guided by Avsluta, the dance deepens, sound shapes presence and time dissolves into iridescent echoes.

Avsluta is a London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer, and event curator navigating the liminal spaces between ambient and dance music. As a DJ and producer, her work navigates both listening and dance realms, fluidly moving in between chill-out rooms, clubs and festival dancefloors. Tuning into the energy of the people and spaces, her performances are fuelled by dialog, intuition and improvisation, drawing on influences across deep techno, psychedelic bass music, dub, downtempo and a broad spectrum of ambient music. Avsluta is a resident of Above Below festival and made appearances at the likes of La Nature, O.Z.O.R.A., Mostra, Lunchmeat Festival, Waking Life, Ankali and Cafe OTO among other. She is also the founder of Introspective Electronics, an ambient and downtempo platform that hosts regular radio shows, guest podcast series, and intimate listening events.

Avsluta's mix for this edition is a tribute to tribalistic rhythms that unfold a hypnotic appeal of immense, ritualistic power. Combined with massive, moving basslines and trippy, headstrong toppings, this piece is a very special sonic treat that will draw you deep into the cosmic vortex.

Kyoto-based DJ and producer Yuddy Ash has been steadily finding his voice over the past few years. Following a series of online appearances and a collaboration with silkscreen. on GIFKIKKER, he now joins the Delayed with series with a mix that favors movement through restraint, using rhythm as a thread rather than a tool of impact.

Across sixty-one minutes, it unfolds with a steady pulse, subtle shifts, and a lightness in tone. It’s a late-night listen that moves from deep low-end flow to airy percussion. The transitions are soft, almost invisible, yet the direction remains clear, a quiet reminder that less can still move plenty.

So Oishi is an electronic music composer, DJ, and music software developer from Tokyo, Japan. He primarily focuses on producing deep and leftfield techno, broken beat, ambient, and electronica with a psychedelic atmosphere. As a solo artist, he has released two EPs on the Dutch label Something Happening Somewhere: “Lithosphere”(2024) and “Herbology”(2025). He is also part of the unit Dawn Ever with Japanese DJ ΛSYL, and together they released a downtempo album “Aurora Saltans” (2024) on the Mexican label Secuencias Temporales. He completed his master’s degree at the Institute of Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, the Netherlands, where he conducted research on timbre in electronic music composition and developed a sound synthesis program.
