Dark Deep Techno Mix🌑

A change of setting this week as I closed Wrong! on Saturday morning. I was told to bring the energy and thats what I did, 90 minutes groovy, hypnotic and energetic techno to keep the party goers grooving to the end. It was fun changing my approach from trying to match deep techno atmospheres and ambiences that I do during an opening set, to trying to find inventive ways of keeping the energy up without making it sound repetitive. Dub Techno Mix

Dub techno is a genre I've spent a lot of time exploring over the last year, both in my DJing and in my production. The genre sits nicely at the intersection of deep techno, ambient music and the natural world and this track explores all three of those styles, blending immersive field recordings, swirling reverbs and techno grooves. Out Of Focus 007 - Harknee

I am very happy to be able to present another exellent guest mix on my Channel. This time it is a DJ called Harknee, located in London who I invited to contribute after I discovered him recently. 
And this mix fullfilled my expectations 100%. It has this yearning and mourning inside what I've found already in other mixes from him. On the other hand he has a very dry and subtile humour. A markable mixture in my view.

Here're some personal words from him about this mix he was sending: "When I make mixes, I like to picture where they might be listened to. For this one, the idea was to keep things laidback yet light — ideal for summery afternoons spent relaxing at home or out in nature. I imagined myself chilling in the garden, the sun beating down while the wind crackles the leaves in the trees. Wherever you're listening from, I hope you can find a quiet spot in nature and unwind with this mix."

Harknee is a DJ and producer exploring the intersection between techno music and the natural world.

This exploration sees him take elements of nature, from quiet birdsong to large landscapes, and incorporate them into his work, generating a contrast between repetitive rhythms and the unpredictability of the living world. His creations look to evoke the essence of the earth to create sonic landscapes, placing the listener in the midst of flora and fauna.

Hypnus Records for me best encapsulates this idea of crossing the natural world with electronic music, whether that’s through an bliss ambient album or some dance floor heaters, each release on the label has its own unique way of incorporating some form of the natural world into its music🌀

Biophilia - Chapter 17

I’m very excited to share the second guest to contribute a chapter to my Biophilia mix series.

From sunny Sardinia, deep-sky objects is a co-curator of Out Of Focus — a podcast and event series dedicated to the deeper, more introspective shades of dance music. I’ve really enjoyed their mixes this year; they bring sounds and inspirations from all sorts of different realms.

His mix weaves together organic sounds from faraway worlds, introspective and ethereal soundscapes, and hypnotic rhythms that send your head into a twist. It’s a diverse listen that I keep coming back to. The small ambient interludes between the more beat-driven tracks give the whole thing a mellow, relaxed tone — they reframe the beats and basslines as more than just dancefloor enablers, giving them new purpose within the laid-back flow of the mix.

Biophilia - Chapter 19

My 2025 year mix is here!

2025 was quite a diverse year for my musical taste, whilst my typical brand of deep and dub techno was still ever present throughout the year, I also dipped my toes in the worlds of electro, jungle and downtempo. This mix represnts the many sounds and BPMs that shaped my year musically, it was a really fun challenge taking a mix from very still ambient, all the way through to 170 BPM, wibbly wobbly dnb, all in under 3 hours!
