Solar Suite has something to say about liminal spaces. It’s that eerily familiar transitory state between here and there, where a shift occurs and the thrill of the change perforates through the atmosphere like a dreamy fog. Some find this anticipatory realm uncomfortable, but some find it as the means for creative inspiration. For the 17th release on Welsh imprint Haŵs, Naarm-based DJ/producer Solar Suite explores the playful liminality of dusk and dawn, taking locked grooves and prog sounds as the tools to transform the strange into something exhilarating.

‘Clear Skies’, ‘Tasman Transmission’ and ‘Still Life’ comprise the record’s club-ready tracks. The EP’s opener is expansive and uplifting, with an elated stride and synths that roll away like sheets of clouds finally departing a new-born sky. Meanwhile, ‘Tasman Transmission’ and ‘Still Life’ sink into lower, stubborn grumbles, signalling the spontaneous bursts of energy for those who haven’t quite yet chosen to head to bed yet.

Balancing out the up-tempo rhythms, ‘Subtropique’ and ‘Contact’ deliver the slow chuggers of the release. The former heralds the wide-eyed expectancy of a memorable night ahead, while the closing track preserves the threshold moment where night and day make brief, electrifying contact for all but an instant.

Five tracks with dedicated circumstances to be plucked out from record bags and presented to a willing crowd. The only question left: what occasions personal to the selector will they rear their heads?

Griffé is back with a new uncompromising release. For this second EP, the Corsican born P.O presents his very first (almost) solo record. Eminent member of the duo Solär Sound System with Jimmy Batt (who comes to lend him a hand on the powerful A2 track "Reveille toi").

For this release, P.O offers 5 tracks oscillating between several styles, flirting with EBM, break, techno and many others. There are tracks designed for the dancefloor as well as the UFO "I Don't Feel Anything" which comes as a breath between the other tracks. The whole is linked by a dark and powerful atmosphere, common between each track and which will give the title of the EP, aptly named "Dark Phase Cylcle EP".

Setting the coordinates as “5.1398° N, 3.3238° W”, Irie Nation begins telling the story of the first encounter… 

Emerging out of the beaches of Assinie, Irie Nation is the first messenger of Jigit.
	Instantly captivated by the spirit upon arrival, he channels the undisputable energy which saves the life of a dear friend from a lethal whirlpool in Ivorian waters. As they escape back to familiar territory through the jungle, they are faced with numerous obstacles before reaching asylum. Listen to the sounds of Irie Nation as the legend of Jigit unfolds.

	The A1 and A2 are paint the landscape of the magic beach of Assinie, captivating basslines, that are instant classics to the ear once they are heard. A3, tells the story of struggle for life in the raging white waters, sinister arpeggetions that spiral around the head like the menacing currents of the Atlantic Ocean.
	
As we continue to the flipside, it all comes down to celebrating life. Irie Nation, introduces his motto, “Vibrations & Soul” spoken by one of the most renown figures in modern philosophy. We’ll give you a hint: “Turn on, tune in, drop out…” and don’t forget to shake that ass!

The first chapter concludes with the transcendental Champetrance (Abidjan Speed Chase Mix), a true masterpiece to the identity of Irie Nation and his heritage. Fusing champeta and West African elements, all glued together by a spirit of rave. Proving that people from all over the world can come together under the grooves of Irie Nation!

"Producer duo Greg Wheeler and Dean Slydell spent a lot of time on the A3 road back in the nineties, which runs from London to Portsmouth. The trax for Molar's third strike date from the same period. House gourmets know their sought after releases from the mid-nineties on UK’s Ferox Records. Molar is very happy to present four diverse tracks that were produced between 1995 and 1998 that have now been carefully remastered for the „A3 EP“. From the rather cheerful house groover „Changing Places (Edit)" and the deep head nodder "Telling Lies" on the A-side to the technoid, slightly reminiscent of Italian Onirico "First Contact" and the freshening breaky "OpenGL" on the B-side - there is something for everyone on MOL03 again!"

R.A.N.D Muzik continue their string of 2020 releases with an instalment from local Liepzig native Salomo. Having previously made two appearances on the label - once on the label's signature V/A series and another alongside collaborator and R.A.N.D label boss Carmel - this EP marks his first solo outing, a collection of four melodic and ethereal cuts that meander from electro through to house and drum workouts.
