Paul forces Eli to take a trip to Gannonland this week. Against his wishes, Eli is made to play two games that, when the dust settles, may have cost them their sanity. Do Paul and Eli "Know Jack?" and will a simple card game called "Game Off!" force them to make some very troubling decisions? There is a very good chance that it will bring out the very worse in both of them. Which is saying a lot. It's not all games though! We also make a much needed return to the world of "Bobby's" snacks as the cheap chaps try their new Pickled Onion Spirals. Will these crisps continue "Bobby's" strong showing on the show? You'll have to find out the hard way. By listening to it all... With that in mind, what are Bill Doughnut and Richard Brandoff up to? They're up to something troubling and it's going to cause a lot of potentially disastrous problems next week. Keep listening to the very end to see what they've gotten themselves, and the show, into. Ep 221: Game Off!

Spring is in the air, there's more daylight and there are (hopefully) brighter days ahead! With all that said, it's up to Paul & Eli to ruin all that joyous potential with another of their occasional "walkabout" episodes! This week, CheapShow seeks renewal, rebirth or at the very least, a quiet picnic out of the way of other humans. Their journey, though short, will take them from a small park in Twickenham, via a famous island and on towards a surprisingly symbolic finale at Old Deer Park in Richmond! Along the way there are arguments, historical discoveries, a bit of Easter knowledge, a cunning plot to kidnap an elderly YouTuber and a plan to sacrifice "Cheggers" for the greater good. It's CheapShow, so expect the totally expected!

As a result, each item is more perplexing than the last! It's also time again to dive into Eli's dusty old record box for a "Spotlight Edition" of Silverman's Platter. The focus this week is on an album based on the hit UK kids TV show "Rainbow". Paul & Eli talk about the the characters, the songs, the rotating line up of musical acts and bust a few "Rainbow" myths at the same time. Finally, following an act of violence, Eli decides to report Paul to HR. It's just a shame that Paul is the head of HR...

Ep 225: Wicker Bungle

It's a white hot blast of thick, hard nostalgia this week when Paul & Eli receive a PO Box delivery that is overflowing with joyous tat! This week, there's a rather colourful edition of Silverman's Platter that pitches an 80s edgy kids comic book flexidisc against the warm, familiar sounds of vintage pirate radio jingles! Elsewhere in the pod, a retro Price of Shite packs in all shades of pop culture oddities, from Garbage Pail Kids slime, He-Man storybooks and Ghostbusters 2 Topps trading cards to the absolutely brazen marketing strategies of The Care Bears. It's all very shocking. In other news, Paul tries to define the word "grumble" and Eli starts making lists. Absolutely pointless lists. All Paul can do is retaliate in kind!

This may not be the “Noodle Special” you expected, but maybe it's the “Noodle Special” you need! This week, CheapShow dedicates a whole episode to the wonder that is the Nissin Cup Noodle instant meal! However, this is not just any old cup noodle episode, it's a very special one as Paul & Eli celebrate the 50th anniversary of Nissin's world-famous portable snack! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our listening audience, CheapShow was very fortunate to get their dirty little hands on the very limited edition "Nissin 50th Anniversary Cup Noodle Soda Pack"! What's inside the pack? Well, apart from the many cup noodles and many flavours, there are also some tasty looking Umaibo sticks and... A range of bottled sodas, flavoured in curry, ramen stock, chili tomato and seafood! Noodle flavoured soft drinks? This can't be a good idea, can it? Ep 187: Sentence Nonsense

It's was meant to be a podcast about beans. Could Eli possibly taste the difference between the classic Heinz Baked Beans and some cheap "off brand" alternatives?
