What would you do if you had agonising back pain and you couldn't concentrate because of said ailment? In Paul's case, he decides to press on with a podcast recording. This may not be the best plan, especially when Eli is in another of his "moods". In amongst the screaming laughter and the laughter induced screams, the Cheap Chaps still manage to make another episode! This week, there is some unfinished business at The Froth Shop when Paul & Eli finally finish off the range of Candy Can drinks. We can also promise that this edition of Silverman's Platters may contain the most awkward, awful disco track ever! It will truly curdle the soul... And that's before we tackle yet another 80s comedy novelty hit from Saturday morning TV's favourite double act. No, the other one. Ep 258: Banjo Twang

For a few weeks in March, Eli escaped the UK to visit his family in Florida and Paul thought it would be a great idea to give him a portable recording device. You know, so Eli could record his adventures in America. Turns out it was a terrible idea. Rather than record his thoughts and observations, he decided to record barely audible interactions with his family over the course of 2 rowdy days. Paul is not impressed. This week, find out what happens when The Family Silverman taste test some American junk food whilst drinking to excess, all the while Paul fumes in response to each pointless recording. In between the segments, there are some stories to tell and cheap eats to suffer through, particularly Eli’s obsession with sausages and packets of Takis. To say Paul isn’t impressed is putting it lightly.

Ep 275: The Sloshed Family Silverman

In 2004, Shaun of the Dead was released into cinemas and its particular mix of horror and comedy quickly made it a beloved cult classic… Turns out Paul was on set as a zombie extra during the production of this movie and he has a few stories to tell about it. It’s a pity he will hardly get the chance to do so! To celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary, CheapShow decides to explore North London to hunt for some of the real life locations from the ZomRomCom hit. They’ll roam Finchley, Highgate, Crouch End and even take a long trip to South London for their final location in New Cross Gate. It’s an epic journey that has Eli trying to inject his own misinformed opinions and hijack the walk with his memories… Which means Paul can barely be able to recall his own! They’ll argue, digress and talk absolute garbage in yet another failed attempt to be taken seriously. Luckily, they manage to bump into comedian/actor Paul Putner who’ll offer a few of his own SotD stories to balance out Paul and Eli’s nonsense.
