CheapShow is back at Soho Radio Studios to record another episode with a lovely new guest. Although he's been a fan of the pod for a while, we can't help but feel he isn't ready for the "real thing" and he soon finds himself caught in a torrent of rants, arguments and impromptu new characters. The poor guy! 

Ethan Lawrence, from TV shows such as the award winning "Afterlife" on Netflix and C4's "Bad Education" finally joins the economy comedy podcast for games, chat and horrors. He's also brought with him his own curated Price of Shite! Paul & Eli are pitted against each other for high stakes p'twing action, but will they get ANY p'twings at all? Paul has a fun new Gannon's Golden Games that asks a simple question... What Came First? It's not as easy as you may think, and certainly not as easy as Eli thought it was going to be. And speaking of Eli... If he ever offers to tell you his dreams, decline politely and move on with the conversation. Ethan and Paul definitely regret asking him. But how bad can it be?

This may not be the “Noodle Special” you expected, but maybe it's the “Noodle Special” you need! This week, CheapShow dedicates a whole episode to the wonder that is the Nissin Cup Noodle instant meal! However, this is not just any old cup noodle episode, it's a very special one as Paul & Eli celebrate the 50th anniversary of Nissin's world-famous portable snack! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our listening audience, CheapShow was very fortunate to get their dirty little hands on the very limited edition "Nissin 50th Anniversary Cup Noodle Soda Pack"! What's inside the pack? Well, apart from the many cup noodles and many flavours, there are also some tasty looking Umaibo sticks and... A range of bottled sodas, flavoured in curry, ramen stock, chili tomato and seafood! Noodle flavoured soft drinks? This can't be a good idea, can it? Every now and then on CheapShow, we like to slow things down and just have a good old chat. Paul and Eli have never had much luck during Halloween. They've been attacked by a pervy hamster, attacked by a crazed fan, spent a long, dull night at a haunted house and was chased through the woods by an axe wielding guest! This year, the Cheap Chaps are going to try and keep it simple. Eli has picked out a few spooky tunes to listen to and Paul has a few paranormal page turners to investigate. Ep 254: The October 31st Episode

Maybe it's because Paul & Eli are tired, maybe its because the early dark nights stir something within them or maybe it’s because their guest forgot to turn up for the recording, either way, the Cheap Chaps are in a proper mood this week. It's a big old chunky episode with TWO big competition segments. In The Price of Shite, tempers and passions flare up when Paul & Eli come to a head over the (always shoddy) rules! Paul reveals how much he hates monkeys and Eli revels in his memories of late night, low budget TV shows. Later in the episode, it's time for another Gannon's Golden Games. In this edition they tackle "Mike Reid's Pop Quiz" board game which takes them on a trip down the "1980s Radio DJs" rabbit hole. Please brace yourself accordingly.

Ep 257: Plop Quiz

What would you do if you had agonising back pain and you couldn't concentrate because of said ailment? In Paul's case, he decides to press on with a podcast recording. This may not be the best plan, especially when Eli is in another of his "moods". In amongst the screaming laughter and the laughter induced screams, the Cheap Chaps still manage to make another episode! Ep 259: Mystery On The Clock

Another year gone, another Christmas is on it's way and unfortunately that means it's time for another drunken, angry CheapShow Office Party. As the booze flows, Paul and Eli attempt to bring some Yuletide cheer to economy comedy podcast in the only way they know how... badly! Paul makes a tonne of effort and Eli manages to do less than nothing and that makes Paul turn to the bottle. They break open some budget Xmas Crackers, sample some inexpensive booze, cheap festive eats and manage to ruin several well-loved Christmas songs by giving them a CheapShow update. You have been warned. For the grand finale, Paul has curated a very special "Price of Shite" for Eli to tackle. If Eli is successful, there is a very special prize indeed! But just when the office party was starting to become a more heart-warming experience, Paul simply had to answer his phone... And it all ends rather badly! If you can survive this Xmas party, you can survive any of them! Merry Christmas!

Ep 261: The 3rd Annual Office Christmas Party

Last Week Paul and Eli pulled apart what made Tiswas and Swap Shop work, and this week it’s part two of their Saturday Morning Showdown! The 2nd generation of kid’s breakfast TV shows were Number 73 on the ITV regions and Saturday Superstore from the BBC. Both are very different to each other, and in some respects, from the trailblazing programmes that came before them. The question is, “Which is the ULTIMATE show?” Will nostalgia cloud our opinions or has distance made us more critical? Which one has Sarah Greene in? That will probably be the best one. Ahem. The Cheap Chaps have amassed another collection of clips to review as well as some of the purchasable merchandise that came with the shows at the time of broadcast! You can expect tie-in books, novelty songs and even something lovely to pin to your lapel! At the end of the day, only one of these shows can be crowned Overlord of Saturday Morning and Paul and Eli have a lot to think about in this proper chunky edition of the economy comedy podcast. They also have a LOT of angry opinions on Mike Reid, Paul reveals his childhood crushes and Eli reveals WAY too much about his local swimming pool antics! It’s a shocker! Somewhere in between the mucky talk, weird asides and bitter rants, there is an actual podcast in here! Sometimes…
