It’s a proper chunky show this week, and that’s despite there is not a lot to be getting on with! A delightful PO Box delivery brings a bit of joy into Paul and Eli’s hearts before offering a snack based Off Brand, Brand Off that will task their taste buds. Can Eli tell which is the Nik-Nak and which is the Nik-Nak knock off? The odds are stacked against him. Elsewhere, Paul crafts another deeply weird character that, for a change, Eli becomes incredibly fond of! Is this the beginning of a beautiful new friendship? Meanwhile, behind the scenes, there is trouble brewing and it’s all going to end badly for the Cheap Chaps, they just don’t know it yet! All this and Paul amusing himself to death, enjoy!

Ep 308: Mulchy Fibbage

As the year rolls to an end, Paul and Eli decide to cram in one last walkabout adventure that will eventually push them a little harder than they were expecting! After discovering something called “The Celandine Route” they decide to take on all twelve miles of it in four hours, despite the guide suggesting it will take six. Can they pull it off and also attempt a modular, al fresco Price of Shite that Paul has procured? As you can imagine, it’s not going to be as easy as the Cheap Chaps think. Along the walk, which follows the River Pinn through green spaces, conservation areas and wildlife retreats, Paul and Eli will argue, complain, rage, laugh and annoy each other every step of the way. Will the relentless mud, pitch black, misty surroundings and chilly autumnal weather be too much for them? You’re going to have to listen to find out… Sorry about that!

Ep 310: A Ball Of Chalk

As the year trundles to an end, there is a little bit of business Paul and Eli need to clear up before next week’s depressingly annual office Christmas party. Unfortunately for CheapShow, the newly established Podcast Authority Bureau are demanding answers and it’s up to the Cheap Chaps to take a mini deep dive into their own history to fill in a few gaps in the P.A.B’s database.  It’s common knowledge that Paul and Eli are unorganized cretins, so how are they going to come up with the answers when they can’t remember what p’twing happened when and what was an off-brand item, and which one was on-brand? Luckily, they receive an email from someone who had a lot of time on their hands. With a little help, Paul and Eli may get all the answers they’ll ever needed. If they can keep their s*** together that is, which may be a problem as Paul is ill and Eli is exhausted and delirious..

Ep 313: The 4th Annual Office Christmas Party (Part Two)

If there is one thing we love on CheapShow, it’s snacks… and crisps! This week, we have more crisps than we know what to do with, when a tub of “Spudos” is delivered to the PO Box! What is “Spudos”? Well, it’s a big plastic tub filled with plain crisps and comes with an assortment of flavours to sprinkle on. It’s basically an elaborate “Salt N’ Shake”! Will Paul and Eli embrace this strange service, or will they reject its advances? In the Silverman’s Platter, Eli unearths a McDonald’s branded vinyl album that encourages children  to count and spell along with Ronald and his wacky friends. It’s… odd. One last thing. Ep 134: The Office Day Trip To Brighton

It's too hot to record in the festering House of Pickles this week, so the Cheap Chaps move next door to the slightly more pleasant House of Sausage and Eggs. Once there, the heat rises and tempers overflow, so expect the usual rants, meltdowns and overuse of the word "thwopage". The only way they can cool down is to take a trip to visit the Soda Jerk Man and try out some of his fizzy, frothy, cheap delights! Sadly, they are lukewarm. Which means more disaster for Eli and Paul and the deaths of some "beloved characters". Oh, and there's a quick Price of Shite BFG Edition too.

Ep 137: Soda Jerk Off

There was no way in hell that Paul and Eli intended to talk about naff 80s novelty band "Black Lace" for any longer than 5 minutes or so... 35 minutes later and they are still forensically trying to figure out what the point of Black Lace is. We may never know. Elsewhere in the Land of the Platters, we finally get a second dose of Russ Abbott with songs taken from his Manhouse TV vinyl... Which may not be as painful as you think! The cheap chaps also take a trip to the far future to visit Granny Thought 3000 in the FrothShop of the Future... and ultimately decide to maybe stop doing random characters for a while.
