Tokyo's Yunosuke Senoo aka Lycoriscoris presents ‘Flight’, his first album released via acclaimed UK label Anjunadeep. In recent years Lycoriscoris has developed a reputation as one of Japan’s most exciting young producers, releasing two albums on local indie label Moph Records and performing live alongside acts like The Field and Mortiz Von Oswald at Tokyo’s legendary Dommune.

With influences ranging from the dreamy soundscapes of Boards Of Canada, to the jazzy glitch of Shigeto, Senoo's subtle fusion of organic melodies and futuristic electronic production has won support from the likes of DJ Koze and Michael Mayer, who released his ’Transient EP' on Kompakt sub-label KX in 2015. Senoo made his debut on Anjunadeep in 2016, contributing a track to the iTunes #1 Dance Album ‘Anjunadeep 08’, before following up with the 6-track 'Drop EP' in 2017 which has since notched up 1 million streams.

Over its 8 tracks, ‘Flight’ sees Lycoriscoris explore the full range of his emotional melodic sound. From the intricate textures of ‘Kite’ and orchestral groove of lead single ‘Flight’, to the haunting ambience of ‘Far’ and dramatic crescendo of ‘Stella’, Senoo weaves together a spellbinding tapestry of detailed soundscapes and lush electronica. Senoo also provides imagery for his cinematic sounds, with the album artwork and music video for ‘Flight’ comprised of imagery shot by the artist himself in his native Japan.

‘Flight’ is the latest in a string of notable artist albums released on leading electronic label Anjunadeep, following on from Moon Boots’ debut LP ‘First Landing’ which topped the KCRW album chart and picked up over 50 BBC Radio plays, Cubicolor’s ‘Brainsugar’ which has amassed 32 million streams, and ‘Tuesday Maybe’, the sixth album from legendary duo Way Out West which topped the UK Dance Album chart.

Anjunadeep welcomes season DJ and producer Jon Gurd to the label with the first single ‘Together’ off of his forthcoming album ‘Lion’. A reputed selector and producer, Jon came through the UK underground in the early 2000’s as a resident DJ at the legendary slinky in Bournemouth. During his decorated career, Jon has collaborated with artists including Alan Fitzpatrick and Reset Robot and gained support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Sasha, Loco Dice and many more.

In lead single ‘Together’, a track which he describes as the “lynchpin of the whole album”, Jon demonstrates his intricate production techniques and eclectic musical influences. Percussive breakbeats meet with a bold vocal loop in a powerful track that explores the themes of “unity and being part of something bigger than ourselves”.

Dedicated to his older brother, ‘Lion’ is the culmination of Jon’s experiences as a brother and father; his encounters with loss, and his subsequent progression as an artist and human being. ‘Lion’ lands August 14.

At the fresh age of 14, Chew Lay had a life changing experience at the height of the Old Skool and Jungle era (‘95-‘97) during a party at The Manor in Bournemouth. Blinded by the rush of his first ever rave, he knew from that moment onwards, he had to become a part of the growing jungle scene!

In 1999 he started his music career DJ-ing D’n’B which gave him a deeper understanding of the music scene and led him to explore his hidden talents of creating his own sounds and into the world of production. 

His sound has continued to change and evolve alongside his own personal growth and evolution journey which has come with its challenges and creativity blocks over the years and resulted in many unfinished tracks. But this time also allowed him to play around with producing different genres and figure out the direction he wanted his music to progress in. 

Fast forward to 2021 after a couple of years’ hiatus from production, Chew got inspired by his love for Melodic Breakbeat and House Music and with a fresh perspective and new wave of energy, he created and completed 12 tracks, each one with a totally unique sound and vibe! 

Chew is dedicated to creating tracks for the awakening masses that are up-lifting and euphoric but that also assist in the the evolution of human consciousness with his soon to be released meditation tracks.
