Child of No Nation’s second release, La Pánica is an album of radical lullabies that explore the psyche. A surreal commentary on a virtual occupation, the album points to the information stronghold our senses currently exist in and the need to break out of that and reclaim our audio and visual independence. On this record, CNN uses the presence of panic as a source of power. 
 
The nature behind this experimental performance collective is based in conscious revolt. With the return of live performance and the popularity of online experiences, CNN works to include the world around us in the art we make and to collaborate and celebrate the fluxus nature of our society. 

CNN creates sonic poetry steeped in mystery and madness that serves as a starting point for infinite experiences. Once a track is released, CNN commits to never playing the song the same way again. Instead the collective works to reconstruct the piece to reflect the constant state of change we live in. This agit-pop project will have many faces and many lives, as we continue to re-contextualize and revolt each track every time we perform them live. Nothing is meant to stay the same.

Cat Child - The Deities Fell Short (The Birth Of Cat Child)

This song was written and recorded on Thanksgiving Day 11/24/16 in Portland, OR. It was written in response to the government and media silence surrounding the movement at Standing Rock. 

The song was created collaboratively and features original poetry by Brad Hamers and Jessica Daugherty as well as lyrics by Brandon Fisette. The final line is in reference to a statement made by Antonin Artaud and quoted by The Living Theatre.
