The winter snow melts upon on a window  
I stay inside, shelter from the cold 
Now I’m reflecting on the past, not the future 
Must be a sign of getting old

The TV news was melting into sorrow 
I switched it off, and so to bring some light
I pore through photos that remind me of the high times
When everything seemed right

So I gaze on summer days
And on the good times we knew 
And feel again as I did then 
When summertime, was slowly passing through

Are these the days of basking in the twilight?
Is this the lull that comes before the storm? 
Were those the best of times, forever left behind us  
When we were safe and warm? 

No more to gaze on summer days?
Or will the sky return to blue? 
Will summer then come back again? 
A summertime, slowly passing

A summer of a lifetime

An endless summer

And in the days of living in the memories
I find these ways to reunite with you
And relive former glories captured by the camera
In precious times we knew

And so I gaze on summer days
