After the adventures died down and the faders and encoder knobs cooled off, it was time to stretch the legs on the rug, brew some Shen Pu-erh, and unwrap records filled with dancefloor myths. The collection keeps growing, which only means new playlists and future sets. Who knows what’s next?

Needle and Plate can’t go a day without digging for gold. It’s all about stacking another round of records on the shelf, then dropping the needle to take them for a spin. Sometimes, the room with the turntable takes the shape of a rooftop overlooking mountainous landscapes; other times, it’s an abandoned warehouse where psilocybin keys and glitching percussions hit hard enough to get even the deaf going. For those obsessed with analogue sound, there’s only one format. And its shape? A perfect circle.

Chippy Chasers is an illustrated electronic label and record store from The Hague, promoting a wide range of house sounds. Founded in 2023, the project blends music, storytelling, and visual identity into one continuous experience.

The stories unfold in the present — through the lives of Needle and Plate, two friends who simply can’t imagine life without music. Female selectivity and male determination take them across Europe’s nightclubs, record shops, and creative spaces — all in search of that perfect moment the dance genre has to offer.
