Having settled down near their favourite coffee table, the friends lay down and thoughtfully stared at the ceiling. The cartridge gently skidded on the shiny black surface. The grooves rotated a carousel of bass and percussion, transmitting a heartfelt rhythm to everything around. Bright envelopes scattered all over the living room were the keepers of the real mystery.

Chippy Chasers is an illustrated electronic label and record store from The Hague, promoting a wide range of house sounds. Founded in 2023, the project blends music, storytelling, and visual identity into one continuous experience.

The stories unfold in the present — through the lives of Needle and Plate, two friends who simply can’t imagine life without music. Female selectivity and male determination take them across Europe’s nightclubs, record shops, and creative spaces — all in search of that perfect moment the dance genre has to offer.
