Qilla Records proudly presents the Brazilian 'Plastic Robots' with the first release of the year. The duo have a strong, in your face approach to their music that pans across techno to electro using loads of analog sounds and vocals with a healthy dose of robotics. The original version is a fine example of what these guys are about. The first interpretation of the release comes from the Portuguese sensation "Re:Axis", who turns the original into a deep, hypnotic remix with loads of atmosphere that compliments rich harmonics and a great dance floor vibe. The second remix is from the Delhi based and label co-owner BLOT!. This version has enough attitude to make a lot of heads turn, a solid re-interpretation of the original with sublime class.

In 2014 Voltage Musique Records is still on top of things. The well-known vinyl-series "Les Amis" transforms into a compilation of now eight A-sides with tracks from known and new faces. After quite a while, Rodion returns with a new solo single. On LSD!
Rodion dismisses the romantic spaceman suit for a tighter and much darker number on his roman/german label Roccodisco, the house of the Alien Alien.

Just forget the refined and the sweet: this is basically creepy afterhours music, a trip too far gone through obscure and scary galaxies outside the Solar system.
The sound is 100% analog, druggy, mechanical uptempo funk: rumbling basslines, sheer and hallucinogenic synths on top of a seriously raw beat. This time Rodion’s voyage is a no-way-back one.

On the remix duty, we are very proud to feature the Argentinian duo DJS Pareja (Còmeme). Strong, rude, this version takes you to an unpredictable cruising on Planet Medusa. Call it nasty house, or electro macho, this is definitely the sound of a snake-haired nightmare…

Then, to complete the EP, we have Solenoid, one of the wildest Rodion numbers ever: 
a rapsody in gold where out-of-this-world melodies and geometric old-skool grooves melt in a bench chemistry orgy. qJust make sure not to miss it.

Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds label plays host to Berlin legend Andreas Hen- neberg for three tech-house cuts for the witching hour, including the floor-smashing "Movember" and the hypnotic, slow-building groove of title track "Slyly".
All three tracks are subtle but direct, intense on headphones and devastating on the dancefloor, precision-tooled for any DJ worth his salt.

The rubbery groove of the title track demonstrates the technical mastery of a producer that has put his name to over 140 releases. Saturated with ear-fizzing details and under- pinned by a buoyant bass groove, it's a cut crying out for a massive system.
The crisp kick, foghorn stabs and circling bass of "Movember" build to a virtuoso climax - testimony to Henneberg's extensive experience in both the DJ booth and the studio. "Caption" rounds off a fine release for the Voltage Musique Records founder, flashing you its snake eyes to hypnotic effect, with scything repetitions that demand complete submission to the rhythm.

The concept of "The Road Back" is rooted in ‘The Hero's Journey’, the larger narrative woven throughout the release. The original is an ambient/electronica track using various layers and soundscapes.

My intention with the remix EP was to source three extremely talented artists I admire—three people with truly distinct identities. I wanted each to interpret the track however they wanted, with no guidelines or rules. The result is three extraordinary pieces that capture their individual aesthetics while impressively channeling the original's qualities.

This further motivates my label's objective: to be a platform for experimentation and expression, all while being a bit leftfield.

Surely this can be the only logical reason for being quite so isolated and, whether the alcohol consumption was a recent occurrence or it simply led you into agreeing to a venture into the frozen wilderness in the first place, there must have been some involved in order for you to have made such a poor decision.

At the forefront of Florence’s electronic music scene since 2010, Tropical Animals’ standout taste in club bookings was bound to lead to the formation of a label. Launched in 2018, and calling on past guests and local talent alongside friendly faces from a variety of scenes, they've quickly cemented their position as a bastion of intriguing, textured dance music. As this compilations name suggests ‘Rave In The Cave Vol.1’ is a subterranean collection of hard-hitting dancefloor cuts brought forth by a selection of their extended family.
The 10 track comp is laced with galactic offerings that retain a sense of real world rawness, from Nero Zang's 'Akasha', to Mystic Valley’s ‘First Sight’ - the former a ritual dance between extraterrestrial arps, acid stabs and shamanic drumwork, the latter causing seismic shakes through 303 squelches and eerie vocal samples. Elsewhere, Gaiden’s ‘Star Seeker’ provides a sensory onslaught of thunderous acid bass tones, hyperspace arpeggiators and twisted vocals, built for big systems.
