His 12-string voice of the Piedmont blues shaped legends like Dylan, who paid tribute with ‘Blind Willie McTell.’ Our take on McTell’s 1933 recording East St. Louis Blues connects that lineage with our own name, Choca Blues — honoring resilience, roots, and the heart of the blues.
