CHOROSYNTHESIS SINGERS, a state-of-the-art project-based ensemble, exists to collaborate with professional-level musicians and composers in the creation and performance of music that connects the art with community. As part of the greater vision of Chorosynthesis, the ensemble serves as a practical example of applying the ideals of the organization: collaboration, innovation, sustainability, and excellence. 

Burning River Baroque presents cutting-edge programs about issues that are on the forefront of social change. Inspired by the tremendous environmental reform that occurred after the Cuyahoga River burned, they throw open the doors of the concert hall to all audiences by offering most concerts for free/by donation and performing in both traditional and non-traditional venues. They involve the audience in the drama unfolding onstage by demonstrating the profound connections between issues in the baroque era and those of modern times, and they commission a new composition each season to further fuse together ideas of the past and present.

Praised by the Boston Musical Intelligencer as a group that “left an indelible imprint on my psyche,” Cleveland-based Burning River Baroque is an innovative artist-run ensemble founded in 2012 with the goal of bringing the drama, passion, and vitality of Baroque music to life for contemporary audiences. Core members are Malina Rauschenfels, a Juilliard-educated multi-instrumentalist and composer, and Paula Maust, a Cleveland Institute of Music graduate who is currently pursuing a doctorate in harpsichord at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. The ensemble strives to engage listeners of all ages and walks of life by offering our performances for free and by performing in a diverse range of venues--from urban churches and coffeehouses to rural libraries and everywhere in between. Since its formation in 2012, Burning River Baroque has put on an average of 15-20 concerts each season and recorded and released three live CDs and two live DVDs.

Mark Mummert is Cantor at Trinity Lutheran Church, Worcester, Massachusetts, where he leads congregational worship, conducts the Trinity Choir and Trinity Choristers, and is Artistic Director of the Music at Trinity series. He is also the Artistic Director of Diamonds From The Dust, a professional vocal ensemble. He was the 2015 Distinguished Visiting Cantor at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg Mark also served as Director of Worship at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas (2008-2015)and Seminary Musician at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (1990-2008). He is a composer of the first musical setting of Holy Communion in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's (ELCA) core worship resource, Evangelical Lutheran Worship. He served as editor of Psalm Settings for the Church Year (Augsburg Fortress, 2008) and Music Sourcebook for Lent and the Three Days (Augsburg Fortress, 2010). He was principal musician for the 2005 National Convention of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, the 2007 ELCA Churchwide Assembly and Worship Jubilee, and visiting scholar for Emory University's Candler School of Theology's "The Singing Church" Project in 2012.

Chris Hutchings is a Scottish composer based in Edinburgh, specialising in works for choir. His works have been performed by the National Youth Choir of Scotland, New London Singers, Cappella Nova, Scottish Voices, the Edinburgh Quartet, Daniel's Beard, Pure Brass, and a wide variety of professional and amateur groups around the world. He has received commissions from several groups in the UK and USA. Recent prizes include the Murau Music Festival Composition prize in 2019, Kantos Choir's composition prize in 2021, and winning the City of Oxford Choir's  "Breaking Ground" competition in 2025.
