"Lingering Light in Winter’s Embrace" is a chamber composition for eight instruments, deeply rooted in the expressive tradition of the Russian musical school, profoundly inspired by the legacies of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Georgy Sviridov. The piece seeks to capture the ephemeral beauty of memory, weaving an atmosphere of tender melancholy and quiet contemplation, as if illuminated by the delicate glow of a winter landscape.

At its heart lies the theme of nostalgia — a longing for moments lost, expressed through a lyrical dialogue between the strings (first and second violins, viola, cello, and double bass) and the poignant timbre of the winds (flute, oboe, and clarinet). The strings evoke heartfelt emotions, whispering tales of cherished recollections, while the winds add a breath of airy lightness and a subtle shimmer of hope. The double bass provides a resonant foundation, grounding the composition in the timeless embrace of the natural world.

This work transcends a specific narrative, instead inviting listeners on an emotional journey — a meditation on the fleeting nature of time, the enduring power of the human spirit, and the universal search for harmony. "Lingering Light in Winter’s Embrace" is a sonic painting, a tapestry of sound designed to stir the soul and awaken the imagination. “Oh Girlie Come” is a romantic fusion of afrobeats, merengue, and reggaeton. The lyrics, composed by Ghanaian singer and composer Rashid Malik a.k.a Leeks, describe the love of a boy for a girl through a phone call conversation that turns into a private concert, describing how wonderful their relationship has been and the many reasons they should stay together. 

With rhythm, melodies and a late night vibe, Dominican producer blended the lyrics and vocals with his authentic sound to bring into life an idea that started in his bedroom in the city of Boston, MA and travel to Ghana, Africa and back to America in order to amaze the world with a mix of cultures that are so distant but yet so closed and connected in many ways.

This time a mix between current mood (mentioned before) and summer vibe. 

Aurora in the Desert is a cinematic and hypnotic journey, blending the deep pulse of Organic House with the slow, immersive flow of Downtempo and the tribal heartbeat of Deep Afro. Layered with ambient electronica textures and subtle industrial grit, the track unfolds like a surreal aurora shimmering above silent dunes - vast, intimate, and endlessly evolving.

Built on warm sub-bass, earthy percussion, and spacious atmospheres, it’s music for mindful listeners, late-night travelers, and seekers of hypnotic rhythm. No drops, no hooks - only motion, texture, and transformation.

Next ones will probably almost all have the same topic (systemic/institutional injustice) being emotional, deep, some with own lyrics (from soft, over direct with some anger and maybe last my first explicit song in German and English - well overdue here...^^) before I can really release other songs again...

Chris Drabble, based in the Northwest of England, is a rock guitarist who has over 50 years of playing experience.
With nearly 50K streams on SoundCloud in the last 12 months being a mixture of Guitar Rock and softer Ambient instrumental tracks, Chris is now ramping up his rock guitar work with his latest album ‘Foot to the Floor’, which harks back to his youth when rock guitar tracks had a catchy opening riff, and was the sort exciting music you felt you had to tap your foot to.
