Duna is an Argentine rock band🇦🇷. The group was born in 1985 and was made up of Alejandro "Villa" Villanueva (guitar and vocals), Luciano Del Bene (bass and vocals), Raúl Arbelbide (guitar and backing vocals) and Marcos Marafiotti (drums).

It had a sound that was somewhere between post-punk and new wave, a very eighties aesthetic, and you can find certain influences and/or similarities with Soda Stereo, Fricción and La Sobrecarga, national bands of the same time, and with The Cure and Duran Duran internationally. I shared a Latin Pop version of this song two years ago with vocals performed by our friend Richard John (thank you Richard).  Well, here is another version of the song which existed back then that was not pursued.  As I'm scrapping the barrels, thought I might as well give it a go.  This is Celtic folk approach with a different ending where I added an additional verse of new melody & lyrics.

I did this song for Pride 2022, and I couldn't get it right until I added the Rhodes, and after that I just left it. It was never mixed properly, I had it way too hot going into the master, and the vocals were not done well. So I reworked it, I pulled it up a third, keeping and transposing the Rhodes MIDI track and warping the rhythm guitars as best as I could, and redoing the acoustic gtr and vocals. It's a little better now. I thought I would post it since the last few have been kind of downers lol

This song seemed a little over the top, so I went ahead and put in a gospel choir and a searing guitar lead just to make sure lol.

After I had seen the movie "Out Of Rosenheim" for the third time and had read a book about a number of well-known musicians writing songs about the historical road "Route 66", I came up with my story and Stytz composed this DEMO-track on the basis of my lyrics.
The "Road Of America"  still famous as "Motherroad". Bikers always loved it and love it to the present day telling thousands of stories and adventures referring to  this legend! 
We tried to capture the unique atmosphere and flair of this adventurous trip.
