Wild Earth Voices  is a platform to enable listeners to download and experience the sounds of wild nature. Canadian Landscape Painter and photographer, Mark Brennan has long been a lover of what he calls, “The Wild Places”  and has expressed this love through his art and now nature recordings.

Mark makes time to completely immerse himself into wilderness areas and searches out the ‘sweet spot’ for his soundscape recordings in varoius eco-systems and habitats on Canada's East Coast. The sweet spot is the place that best brings out what he feels and experiences while on location.

Travel over 2,000 miles during spring bird migration 2019 with project lead Dr. Jacob Job and audio producer Jacqueline Van Meter to examine the mutual challenges that migratory birds and humans face due to human activity on the planet. 'Voices of a Flyway' stimulates active, mindful listening to nature, reintroduces us to the species and places of our past, deepens our connection to the natural world, and heals our collective mindset about our place within it. 

Project lead Dr. Job is a conservationist, science communicator, natural sounds recordist, National Geographic Explorer, and bird watcher. He travels the country and world, documenting the sounds of nature in our nation's most treasured lands, building connections between people and these places, and working to advocate for their protection.

I'm interested in the sounds around us. By recording sounds, I try to get closer to the mysteries of the world.

With a background in Art and Culture. I have over 20 years of experience in capturing in- and outdoor soundscapes. Using a wide variety of (unusual) microphones and equipment. Since autumn 2009 I am involved in a wide variety of media productions. Ranging from Film, ENG, documentary to commercial.

A cabinetmaker by trade.  I have been recording birds for over 39 years.  Even as a seven year old I loved to hear the sound of birds. 
I believe that birdsong is a perfect reflection of the natural environment and yet a part of the experience of the environment.  
Over the years I have made some wildlife films and videos.  For wildlife recording I have been around Ireland, Wales, Finland, Estonia, Belize, Guyana, Brazil, Peru and Costa Rica. At the moment I have 26 albums of birdsong/nature, most of which can be found here for free download in high quality F.L.A.C. format.
