The glowing lights, they draw me in. 
I said i wouldn’t, but here I stand. 
The lines they blur and this reality’s, 
deep beyond neon oblivion.

She said she comes to get away, i say thats why I’m here too. 
Not much for small talk,
but she smiles and we order drinks for two.

The world spins on the dance floor, the need for air moves us out there door. 
Outside between a smoke she asks me what I do.

“A movie star for the obscene.” 
Paid to get laid, on the silver screen. 
She says we’re not so different, her and I, 
filling a slow void with a fast life.

Her cigarette is burning low. 
I knew I should’ve just stayed at home, but when she winks, I sink 
Deep beyond a neon oblivion.

Clock strikes 2, judgment gives way. 
I look at you, my thoughts go astray. 
The monkey on my back is whispering, don’t delay. 
But you’ve got your high heels in hand. 
My white jackets tarnished again. 
We’re going down the boulevard lit up like the 4th of July.
