In the novel "The Vanished Birds" by Simon Jimenez, the captain has to re-assert her authority after somebody deliberately and secretly breaks the flute from Macaw. She is righteously furious with her crew.

I was born in Britain but grew up between the worlds in Germany. Influences are mostly alternative rock and singer/songwriter sensibilities. I am also interested in electronic music and noise, some of which finds its way into my music.

For me songs develop in the studio. It can start with a melody or chord progression on guitar or piano, then the first lines of text come. When it starts to make sense I take it to the studio. I love producing and mixing!! This is where the magic happens.

I perform all instruments, except where stated otherwise.
