A different approach. Performed well. Well done, good luck.

I decided to use the Solo Voice stem track and the Synth stem track in this new composition, splitting up different pieces of each to create a new melody over a new harmonic structure and groove. The Synth track is used in the breakdown section in the middle of the piece to provide the groove. This competition is being judged on originality, creativity, and production quality, so I wanted to come up with something that was markedly different from the original track by Hans Zimmer, but still came across as powerful and moving. This piece is titled "Soar" because there is a feeling of ascension to the music. I hope you enjoy listening! I had a lot of fun writing it and putting it together!

Hey! I am an aspiring composer, arranger, orchestrator, and recording engineer. And no, I do not rap... sorry to disappoint?
I am an ARCT graduate from the Royal Conservatory of Music and continue to study piano and composition at university. I enjoy writing and arranging many different genres of music.
I believe one of the best ways to practise and educate myself is by dissecting and rebuilding the works of other great composers from both the past and the present. So here you will find both original compositions and "cover" arrangements of songs or pieces that I really enjoy.
