Kontrol Room is a DJ/production duo, comprising of Chris Page and Dave Johnys. After playing back-to-back Traktor sets at London’s Kai-Zen parties, they found themselves wanting to enhance the scope of their performances beyond alternately mixing tunes for the whole set. They took inspiration from Chris Liebing & Speedy J’s Collabs outfit to devise an advanced live setup for subsequent performances.  They now command 2 mixers, 2 laptops, various midi controllers and a synth during their sets. The sheer scale of their setup has had London talking and eventually dubbing the pair “Kontrol Room”.  The name stuck, and the pair continue to collaborate.

Chris’ ever-increasing dexterity as a producer, along with his avid love of technology, have led him to the fully digital DJing methods he now champions, which are a far cry from his beginnings as a DJ back in 2003. On the controversy that frequently surrounds the subject of digital DJings, Chris says: “I think too much emphasis is placed upon the skill of beat-matching. I personally feel, that that skill counts for about 10% of being an good DJ. You might be able to string together 10 tracks, solidly, but they completely fail to ignite a dance floor. What use is that? With technology thats able to free up so much time, your able to concentrate on picking the right tune, set direction, creative flair, and crowd connection”. His dark, rhythmic techno often draws upon the sounds he hears in everyday life, making heavy use of field recordings. Chris has releases on Affin, BCR, Gynoid, and Shapeless.

On shaping his production style, Dave attributes his influences from his earlier interests in hard house, house & tech house.  His debut release, Remedy EP, came in July 2011 on Resopal Schallware, followed later that year by a release on Progrezo Records. “Playing the way we do as Kontrol Room gives us the opportunity to experiment a lot with tracks, loops and samples. We’ve essentially got 10 decks each to play with which gives us enormous potential to do something different”.

Kontrol Room joint productions were the inevitable next step after Chris and Dave formed their DJ partnership. Their combined production approach takes considerable influence from the way they conduct their live sets, as well from the music they include from other artists. So far, Kontrol Room have released on Backwater Community Recordings and there’s great promise of more to come, as they continue to experiment with their latest production ideas, even during their performances.

Diego Ruiz DJ & Producer.

Diego Ruiz started deejaying in 2002 at 18 years old and what started out as a hobby quickly turned into a passion for house music. Driven by that passion, Diego enrolled at SAE NYC Institute and graduated in 2005 with a degree in audio technology.

After graduating from SAE, Diego landed an internship with one of the most noted recording studios in the industry, Electric Lady Studios in New York. After a short internship, he was hired to work with them as an assistant engineer. During the course of his employment with Electric Lady Studios he had the opportunity to work with worldwide recognized engineers such as Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, etc.) and Rich Costey (Muse, My Chemical Romance, System of a Down, Interpol, etc.) amongst many others.

Taking the experience he acquired from working at a big studio, Diego started to work on his own original productions. Shortly after he began producing original tracks, his work started to get signed by labels such as Perikles Records and Deafinition Music Group.

Diego teamed up with award-winning, Brazilian, DJ/Producer Marcos Carnaval and in a short time, they came up with their first hot single "Waves of Silence" featuring Spanish singer/songwriter Francisco Javier. Said single was signed and released by America's # 1 electronic music label, Nervous Records, which is home to big names such as Oscar G, Boris and Chus & Ceballos, to name a few. "Waves of Silence" was also featured on Roger Sanchez's "Release Yourself" podcast as well as in many other radio shows around the globe.

Fueled by the success of their first collaboration, Diego and Marcos continued to work together and produced their next single, "Menina Baiana," which was featured on Pete Tong's radio show on BBC Radio 1.

Today, Diego's tracks and remixes are featured in various labels and he remixes for top artists. His tracks are being supported by major deejays and producers such as Fedde Le Grand, Roger Sanchez, Oscar G and others.

Playing in some of USA's biggest and trendiest venues (such as Main Room at Pacha NYC, Green House, XL Lounge, etc.) Diego keeps bringing top tracks and DJ sets to his fans.

What started out as a hobby has now turned into a fast-growing career. If you ask Diego what he sees in his future he will confidently answer, "Anything and everything. I believe in my music and I believe that it speaks for itself."

Now it's Diego's turn to shine and with a new team alongside him, dance floors will continue to move to his sounds. So, keep an ear out, and look out, for this rising star!!!

You wouldn’t expect the sound you hear from Matthew Parker, a singer & producer who grew up in rural Michigan, USA. His unique blend of Urban, EDM, and Pop vibes is modern and refreshing, though still sentimental and nostalgic. Taking piano lessons as a kid, Matthew wasn’t really interested in music and hated to practice, but when he found he could create his own melodies and songs, he began to discover his passion for music. It started with jam sessions in the attic with his brothers, which turned into Matthew making songs by himself on the family computer at age 12. It was then that he discovered the magic of music production and was irreversibly hooked. Since then, with over 50 million streams across all platforms and no sign of stopping, Matthew Parker has clearly created a sound and sentiment that resonates with many people. I used to be heavily into the occult.. In early 2009 I began to read the Bible as a magical manual. I was determined to find the "secrets" hidden deep in this holy book.. Secrets that few, if any, Christians had ever known.

 

I am rather obsessive about the things I become interested in, and this was no different.. I started out studying the Word for about an hour each day. One hour quickly became two hours, which became three, then five..

 

After a couple of months of this I realized that *JESUS* was the be-all and end-all of the Kaballah, the culmination of every metaphysical system, the highest power that existed.

 

Although I would never use those terms to describe, now days, my relationship with Jesus, these were the terms I knew at the time.. Familiar ground, if you will.

 

I *KNEW* I needed this Jesus, that He was really what every occultist is looking for.

 

Most people that get into any form of magic, be it witchcraft, Yoga, TM, New Age, Native American religion etc...

..are rarely in it for power or personal gain. Most want desperately to save the world, to feel spiritual energy and Divine Providence in a *tangible* way. They want to *help* others and spread LOVE.

 

What they don't know is that God has already provided the *only* Way for humans to gain that kind of freedom.. -freedom from sin, freedom from death (the wages of sin), freedom from the Karmic Wheel/Akashic Record/Book of Consciences/Reap-What-You-Sow, Divine JUSTICE.

 

AS A CHRISTIAN, I WILL NEVER REAP THE HARVEST FROM THE SEEDS I SOWED BEFORE I KNEW JESUS!

Don't get me wrong, I know there is a consequence for our actions.. God is not mocked, and whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap. I also know that once we are Christians, our bodies become the Temple of the Holy Ghost, we become set apart for His GOOD WORKS. But.. What I did as my former man, the man that was crucified with Christ, those things have passed away and I can NO LONGER BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEM!

 

PRAISE GOD!

 

I can have a Powerful, tangible, more-real-than-life-itself relationship with the Spirit of God that created the ENTIRE UNIVERSE!

 

I can have an ongoing possession and invocation of Jesus Christ; I can wear Him like a cloak and be led in every action and every moment by the Spirit of Life..

 

..And I don't have to use any herbs, or potions, no magic words or incantations, no banishing rituals or sacred geometry for protection, no amulets or ritual tools for a weapon, no harsh physical punishment or sensory deprivation, no hallucinogenic drugs or unhealthy sexual practices to open a spiritual portal..

 

I HAVE A RELATIONSHIP, AS AN ADOPTED SON OF GOD, WHICH HAS GIVEN ME THE POWER OF ATTORNEY TO USE THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES, AND HAS RESTORED POWER AND DOMINION, OVER THIS LIFE, TO MANKIND!
