Pleased to say that this 120 minutes defined a generation. 1999 was such a golden year for Trance music and many people reference this very set as opening their eyes to the power of Trance.

It's hard to believe how groundbreaking and well-polished some of the tunes that I selected and played out, really were!! This mix still sounds timeless judging by today's standards and features tunes from the likes of Tiesto and Ferry Corsten, long before they became household names. It will appeal to all those who love it fresh, raw and pumping!!! Ladies and gentlemen, 20 years ago to this month, I created my second Essential Mix (of four) which was broadcast on BBC Radio 1.

Trance lineups like what was experienced at GC20 do not come up at a blink of an eyelid. Hey guys, after a much longer than usual break, I'm happy to say that this episode is the relaunch of the regular DSOT Podcast. 

I will be uploading a 2 hour show on the first weekend of every month to both Soundcloud & iTunes, with the 2nd hour of the show being opened up for guest mixes. So if you would like to be featured as a guest on the show send me your Guestmix to Djchrishynds@gmail.com.

Tonights show is an extra special 2 hour Classic showcase. I have started the set off with a few slower but very beautiful Progressive House tracks that lead into some Classic Progressive Trance and then around half way through the set we get up into the classic 138-140 territory.

There is a good mix of older Classics from the late 90's and some Modern tracks from the mid 00's that carry that older classic sound, I like to call them the modern classics. 

I have and will be leaving the tracklist a mystery for the first 2 weeks, as I always find that with Classic sets like this, most of the tracks you will know and half the excitement and enjoyment is wondering whats coming next :)

I will update the tracklist after the set has been up for 2 weeks.

Hey guys, its been what seems a very long time since I recorded a DSOT show, but I have been getting so many comments and e-mails regarding the Classic Series  that I thought I would bring the show back every now and again for the Classic Series to continue, hence this show. 

For any of you Underground Therapy listeners, I have just got back from a 4 week holiday so will get onto recording the next episode asap. 

As usual with this Classic set I will not be posting a tracklist for the first few weeks as I always feel that half the excitement of a Classic set like this is wondering what tunes coming in next, all you need to know is that if you are a fan of that mid 00's Coldharbour sound then you will love this set.

The Republic of Gatecrasher event held in June signified 10 years since the iconic venue in Sheffield known as the Republic and spiritual home to so many of the Gatecrasher faithful, tragically burnt to the ground.

10 years on and the music still plays on! We all grew with the music from 1997-2007 and felt obliged to hold a commemorative party so as to celebrate those many joyous memories experienced at this momentous institution. Gatecrasher has always been about inclusion and was not only a tribute to all our regulars but also to those who never have had the opportunity to experience it first-hand.

In order to make this event unique, I wanted to try something different and completely out of my comfort zone! After many lengthy discussions, I made the conscious decision to go back to back with the entire main room lineup. From early doors until the final tune, everybody who attended was guaranteed a nostalgic, musical journey.

Post-Republic of Gatecrasher blues and it was really pleasing to have received so many positive and thought provoking comments with regard to how musically diverse it actually was. I wholeheartedly agree and thought it necessary to share these wonderful sets. Just listening back, you'll be really hard pushed to find such a wide range/variety of Trance to encapsulate one night!!!

Many thanks go out to Paul Pearson, Guy Ornadel, Matt Hardwick, M.I.K.E. Push, Marco V, Matt Darey and DuMonde (JamX) who all contributed to this amazing event by joining me on this 9 hour adventure. Now you can too ;).

At this year's ADE something very special was born. On October 18th, at the height of Amsterdam'sannual EDM takeover, dance pioneer Solarstone showcased his new audio axiom. A roots return forthe genre, his is a rally against inorganic and trend-driven Trance, a rediscovery of what drew somany to the genre's flame. The reclamation has started: the code word is "Pure Trance".

Hi guys and welcome back!!

So finally as promised, this is the first in the 3 part Classic Series I will be running, and tonight's show is all about those big hitting club anthems that we all know and love so much.

This set has been mixed on Vinyl, I had a lot of these tracks on wax and used traktor for a few that I never had in my collection.  

Every time I listen back to this set I get nostalgia, I can relate every track to an epic clubbing memory of the past and this is exactly what I am trying to achieve for you with tonight's show!

I have deliberately left the track list off the set, I will update it in a few weeks time, I want the set to be a complete surprise on first listen, they are all tracks that we know and love so I don't want to spoil the fun ;)

Deeper Shades Of Trance - The Classic Series Pt 1 - "Anthems"

Hey guys and welcome back to the 2nd part of the DSOT Classic Series.

Im slowing things down a touch this month and dusting off some of my progressive classics. 

I personally feel this set is more for the seasoned Trance listener, there are very few big hitting tracks in the set, its more about kicking back and getting lost in the music.

There are a few tracks in the set that I hold as the greatest progressive tracks ever produced but I dont want to spoil the fun by giving away the tracklist just yet, so sit back with a beer,  get your headphones on tight and turn it up while and drift away in some of the best progressive Trance around.

Deeper Shades Of Trance - The Classic Series Pt 2  - A Progressive Journey

With over two decades in the scene, CØHERA’s roots run deep into the late ‘90s and early 2000s of Progressive and Trance — Djing before Djing was 'cool' he's heavily influenced by legends like Sasha, Digweed, Markus Schulz, John 00 Fleming and many more.
