Corsten's Countdown 315 [July 10, 2013]

Fresh off Ruby Skye in San Francisco and USC's massive Paradiso Festival in Washington last week, Christopher Lawrence is gearing up to head to Tahoe, New York and Canada for Motion Notion festival. Summer is kicking off and with it comes a slamming new episode of Rush Hour!

This months guest mix comes from some of Christopher's favorite producers Hypnocoustics which is a partnership project between Joe Studt and Benjamin Wood, two producers from London who have been making electronic music since 2004. Joe & Ben share a diverse musical background; ranging from psychedelic rock/stoner bands and Djing, through to modern music production and classical training. 

Over the last two years, Hypnocoustics have been developing a deep and immersive morning sound packed with hypnotic soundscapes, mesmeric textures, driving percussion and intricate musical arrangements. Performing using a combination of synth work, Ableton performance and sample manipulation, the Hypnocoustics live act is being regularly developed and road tested at some of the best parties on the circuit.

To date, Hypnocoustics have shared line-ups and stages with artists including Man with No Name, Tristan, Liquid Ross, Mr Peculiar, Andromeda, Vibrasphere, Silicon Sound, Tron, Flooting Grooves and many others; as well as rocking dancefloors in the UK, Greece, Germany, Lithuania, Switzerland and France.

Pharmacy’s Jonathan Allyn knocks it out of the park with his remix. Jonathan pumps up the bass, adds new vocals and re-works the melody giving it a darker psy feel.

Dance Valley Festival 2005: One dance, one love, one happiness, one weekend… and 60,000 party people.

In 2005, the Dance Valley festival entered it’s eleventh year. The festival had become the jewel in the crown of the European summer festival circuit, boasting massive and highly produced, themed stage areas, cafés, a campsite with supermarket and even an outdoor cinema. Known as "the Woodstock of Dance”, the festival attracts DJs and fans from around the world.

In 2005, Christopher Lawrence appeared for the first time at Dance Valley. On Friday, Christopher played the Main Stage and returned for an encore performance on Saturday night, headlining the ‘Electro Beats’ Trance Stage.

Christopher Lawrence returned to Dance Valley in 2007 to by host his own arena - Continental, his invited guests included Judge Jules, Blank & Jones, John “00” Fleming and Sean Tyas.

Carl Cox says “Missing Dance valley for a year means not having lived for a year”.

[DJ Side Project] Mr & Mrs Smith - Live at Ten Nightclub

Following a series of collaborative sell out shows, original production work and a joint mix compilation together, world renowned DJs John 00 Fleming (UK) and Christopher Lawrence (USA) have officially joined forces under the moniker Fleming & Lawrence.

Here is the first hour from their marathon eight hour set playing to a packed house at Avalon Hollywood in June 2012 (thanks to Kristina Sky for recording it). 

It was a true underground night to remember and a launching point for their upcoming UDM tour.

Christopher Lawrence steps up with a jam packed episode featuring new tracks by John 00 Fleming, Claudia Cazacu, Space Hypnose, E-Clip, Blazed Kin, Circuit Breakers, Molok, Nick Sentience, Hypnocoustics and Pharmacy’s newest signing Frost Raven.

This months guest mix comes from Slovenia’s Reaky. Considered by many as one of the most original and talented individuals on the underground electronic music scene, Reaky's unique style is often influenced by wide range of electronic as well as non-electronic genres. Deep and hypnotic, while tough, driving and energetic at the same time is his core essence that has remained unchanged since the beginning of his electronic music creations in 1999.

The Slovenian's productions have appeared on some of the biggest trance and techno labels with more than 30 vinyl releases, 100 digital releases as well as on many world-renowned CD compilations and radio shows. Reaky's high quality musical output gained him the support and respect from many great artists, landing him gigs at clubs and festivals all over Europe as well as across the ocean where his energetic, diverse and never disappointing live-performances are causing his worldwide fan base to grow bigger and bigger.

This months guest mix comes from Aladiah. Born in 1983 in France, Damien Michenaud discovers electronic music during his teenage years. After some musical experiences with different artists, he founded his solo project called "Aladiah". After the success of his first album  ìNuclear Visionî released in 2009 on Moon Spirits records, follow up several releases on famous label as Iboga rec, Spun, iono music or Synergetic.
Between Full-On and progressive, he offers you a trip through  mature productions with light melodies and  dancefloor dynamic. His music is played around the world by famous Dj's and delight the purists of Trance.
In 2012, Aladiah join the Joof team and after two years of work, he comes back with his second opus ìPieces of my Soulî, a selection of groovy and punchy psy progressive tracks which was built with various artists as Silicon Sound, Motion Drive, Zyce, Signs or Axone.
