With the year coming to end, Christopher Lawrence wraps it up with a new mix compilation "Rush Hour - Best of 2013" which is currently #12 on the Beatport psy trance release chart - http://www.beatport.com/release/rush-hour-best-of-2013/1201259.

Christopher also serves up an incredible December installment of his podcast featuring new tunes by Nicholas Bennison, Solar Spectrum, Tribe Spread, Ohmnidrive, Nanot3ch, Bao, Sonic Species, 5th Dimension, French Skies & Stephane Badey with the track of the month going to Hypnoise.

This months guest mix comes from Pharmacy's Frost Raven (AKA Dustin Foxx Musser). The timing couldn't be better as his single Forever / The Beast was released on Beatport this week. Frost Raven's previous releases on Pharmacy have been heard everywhere from Simon Patterson's Open Up to Paul Oakenfold's Full on Flouro so we're expecting big things!

Frost Raven has a background in post-production sound and a love for movies. His desire not to stay locked into one genre has helped created an interesting blend of clubby sounds and psychedelic underground. Seeing Frost Raven live is a glorious trip for the senses, as he plays a ton of original tracks in every set. A huge outdoor three-day festival, an intimate renegade party, or a nightclub. Silk Royal is thrilled to present Silk Remixed 04, the fourth installment of the annual series, featuring various veteran talents and rising stars in progressive. Kicking off the compilation is Nigel Good's jubilant remix of "Sumr" by Dezza & Shoreliners. Fresh off his debut artist album, which reached #1 overall on Beatport, Nigel treats us to a sparkling, complextro-influenced progressive gem, rife with feel-good vibes. Vintage & Morelli, one of the standout artists from Silk's Arrival division, offers a fresh, peak-hour take on "Night Time" by Sound Quelle. A bouncy house rhythm sits below a stormy and evocative lead, punctuated by a haunting vocal sample. The main break is a goosebumps-inducing aural experience, as the vocal motif and piano poignantly coalesce. Aeron Aether's "Synthanelia" still finds a home in our radio and live sets; Jayeson Andel, a breakthrough artist on our imprint, offers a full-on trance stormer with his new rendering, which has received early radio support from Arty. The memorable string themes of the original soar above an adrenalin-fueled, stadium-rocking groove. French talent Matt Fax, another leader of Arrival, offers a new interpretation of one of Silk Royal's early releases, Pconvolve's "Cosmology". As the title implies, celestially-inspired synths transport the listener to the far reaches of the galaxy; a progressive breaks interlude and explosive drop in the latter half of the track are true release highlights. David Broaders closes out the first half of the release with an awe-inspiring interpretation of "Starman" by Gregory Esayan. A thunderous groove resolves into a beautiful piano and string-themed breakdown; these poignant melodies are some of the most enduring from the compilation this year.

New label recruit Illuminor, a rising duo from Australia, add a bit more punch to eleven.five's classic "Pinnacle". A highly innovative groove, as well as new variations on the main piano motif from the original, stand out in this fantastic new version. Trusty label veteran Sundriver offers a driving take on Denis Laurent feat. Kaisa Martina's "All I Need". A vintage lead chord progression, with numerous euphoric synth layers and arpeggios, paves the way for Kaisa's romantic vocal in the breakdown. British sensation Ben Coda, who has contributed in the past to the Silk Remixed series, returns with a peak-hour rendering of Zack Roth's beloved "Tekkadon". A clubby groove crescendoes into the breakdown, where the newly added, trance-influenced lead shines, alongside the memorable original theme. Russian duo Soarsweep, fresh off an EP on parent label Silk Digital, offers another visionary remix; this time, they have accentuated the emotive themes of "Both", originally a collaboration between Blood Groove & Kikis and LTN. Closing out the EP, Harold-Alexis, one of the stars of our chillout division (Silk Sofa), offers a drum & bass rework of Seagrave's "Storm". With bleeding-edge sound design throughout, this emotive track will be appreciated by fans in search of visionary, outside-of-the-box EDM.

With his new mix compilation Pharmacy: Phase 4 in the Top 5 on Beatport's trance and psy trance charts, and his single Terminus hitting Top 20, Christopher Lawrence bounces into November for Rush Hour 080.

This months episode features some of the biggest tunes from his current Pharmacy tour including two from 2Komplex and Kessler & Mazzar. Track of the month goes to Bamboo Forest's Bandwidth, plus there's new tunes by Soundfanatic & Su6tropic, Krama, Flowjob & Morton Granau, Ilai, James Dymond, Hypnoise & Ital, Rishi, Sonic Species plus remixes by Wikidz, Nemo, Activa and Outsiders.

This months guest mix is from South Africa's Lostly (Andre Frauenstein) aka 'Audio Militia' who started DJing at 13. He quickly moved on to DJ at top events and festivals around the world including Love Parade, Nature One, Decibel, Color Festival, and has also been busy supporting and headlining successful shows and tours with acts such as Simon Patterson, Cosmic Gate, Emma Hewitt, Markus Schulz, John O' Callaghan, John Askew, The Thrillseekers, Activa etc. His endless dedication & passion having paid off, Lostly is now known as one of the leading electronic DJ/Producers in South Africa, with his music being supported by the biggest performing artists around the globe, such as Armin Van Buuren on A State Of Trance. With chart topping releases featured on labels such as Discover Records, Armada, Black Hole Rec, Mental Asylum, Kearnage, Outburst, Adjusted Music, Borderline Music as well as compilation albums such as the infamous Technoclub series, Ministry Of Sound’s Trance Nation. He has also completed several collaborations and remixes for Aly & Fila, The Thrillseekers, Indecent Noise, Signum and more. In the very same year Lostly was approached by his home label Discover Records to become the head of A&R taking over from industry giants Activa and John Askew. It seems inconceivable that it took Los Angeles based label mates and friends Christopher Lawrence and Jonathan Allyn over ten years to get into the studio together – but it was well worth the wait. The Human Element represents a meeting of the minds of two brilliant, passionate producers with a love of underground trance. 

The Human Element is a beast of a track with its pounding kick and bass but what really sets it apart are the huge melodies that lift and propel it. The melodies are powerful without being euphoric - a fine balancing act that turned out brilliantly with not just one but two lead lines that break out of the drop. On remix duties is Daniel Lesden, one of the most respected names in the new breed of psy trance producers. The Daniel Lesden Remix completely reworks the original into a lush and technically impressive progressive psy track that creates a completely immersive world of its own.

This months guest mix comes from Montreal's Seven Ways who hails from Quebec City. Seven Ways recently teamed up with Planet Disconnect for The Samurai on Pharmacy Music which was handpicked for Beatport's 10 Must Hear Psy Trance Tracks and which garnered support from Active Limbic System, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Indecent Noise, Johan Ekman, M.I.K.E, Magnus, Manuel Le Saux, Paul van Dyk and more. It' been a big month for new music with the Pharmacy tour heading to Salt Lake City, then Christopher Lawrence back to LA for Love Groove. New tunes on this months Rush Hour include Christopher's upcoming single The Whip on Pharmacy, plus releases from 3g Kon, Liquid-Soul, Sonic Entity, Seven Ways & Planet Disconnect, Liam Wilson, 2komplex and Boom Nasha, Dissy, Sonic Species vs Burn In Noise, M Theory plus a remix by Will Rees. Track of the Month goes to Johann Stone's Gnarly (Sequence Remix).
This month's guest mix comes from Pharmacy Music's Orpheus, aka Yaniv Gabay, trance music producer since 2007 from Israel. By the age of 12, he played different instruments such as piano guitar and drums set. The main goal of Orpheus is to bring unique style to the trance, which characterized by powerful music with touch of classical instruments, without compromise in the quality and purity of the sound. In 2009 Orpheus won in an international contest of Phonokol LTD. In 2010 he won in an international contest of FM Music. The tracks were released in digital stores. In 2011 his tracks Tanuja Dancing and Losing Control a remix of X-noise were released in Astrix's episodes Trance for Nations 5 and 7. Also the remix of X-noise Losing Control was released in their EP produced by HOMmega. Orpheus has continued his production work releasing on DNA, Speedsound, Yellow Sunshine Explosion, Point 44, Fatali, Planet BEN and more.
