I've been writing songs lately that are like short stories. This one encounters the California desert. Written and recorded recently I was pushing for a specific mood with many textures and colors to support that.  I used all Fender guitars on this; Telecaster, Duo Sonic and Stratocaster with Mustang Bass.  Keyboards were various soft synths, including a bass. Also sang all the vocal work.  Percussion.

Sleepy Ol' Town

I came up with the initial idea in 2022 and it was on the back-burner until recently. It's about the power of 'US'...everybody. Believe.  Musically it has some Brian Wilson influences yet there is other artists seeping in.  Sounding like CT in the end.
Used synths, piano that are part of my Studio One recording software.  Fender Mustang Bass with a nod to Carol Kaye. FenderTelecaster was used for all electric parts. Believe In Us -

Louise showed up in a song of mine in 2001 ! It was part of a concept idea that featured a city similar to New Orleans.  Oddly enough in 2016 I was in Savannah Georgia with it's river walks, history and of course ghosts.  At one house there was a 'Louise' that I may have had an encounter with. Written just recently and recorded.  More guitar oriented.  Squire Strat with Vox Ac-15 amp, Fender Telecaster with Fender Deluxe reverb amp, Fender Duo Sonic with Ebow.  Fender Mustang Bass, percussion & Steinberg synth. Recorded with Studio One with PSP, Waves, Presonus, Toontracks effects plug ins. Recorded, produced, mixed by Chuck Townsend. Warming Glow

Wrote this song recently and recorded it.  I used Fender Telecaster with a Vox AC15 amp.  Also a Squire Stratocaster with a Fender Deluxe Reverb.  Taylor acoustics, Mustang bass and Hammond sk-1.  Also soft synth Mellotron and organs & percussion. Many vocals. Recorded with Presonus Studio One.

Show Me Your Vision

Started writing this in November 2023 and continued in December.  This recording was began at the same time. Thoughts and memories slipping like the sand in an hourglass. I recently recorded a new song I was shaping up since October 2023. It's lyrically about the offspring of 'privileged' society that tend to be 'less than' but consider themselves above everyone. All Is Well

Written and recorded in March and April of 2024 I went for a moody vibe, part dreamy, part reality. I recorded a collage of keyboards (electric piano, viola & piano) and guitars (Epiphone Les Paul and Squire Stratocaster) against a persistent rhythm section of the percussion and bass (Fender Mustang).
