If everything suddenly changed – what would that be like? German house producer Qnete aka Marvin Uhde has been quite active in the past couple of years, with numerous EPs released on Drowned Records, ZCKR and Lobster Theremin. He's at it again with "If Everything Suddenly Changed", his new delivery on Wake Up! Records. According to the press release, all tracks were recorded "within a short period of time" and "straight to tape, raw and improvised", which is something you can definitely hear throughout the EP. The title track featured here is a good example of it, with its warm analog sound, organic synths, and crisp electronic percussion. House music at its best, need!

Hailing from the deeper westside of Frankfurt (South Hessia), please welcome : Gerait, head honcho of Bockenheim Housenation. Sweet ambient sounds slide into an epic deep house stomper on side A, followed by an atmospheric and lush minimal synth disco track on B1, plus a bass heavy, slightly eery and sort of tribal rhythm track on B2. Another great eclectic and well rounded 12" EP.

PREMIERE : Gerait - Summertime In Bockenheim

The noise echoed in the empty chamber. The room was lined with metallic plates and the sound bounced in expansive chaos as the walls rattled. The light glowed a pale, glistening, medicinal white and the foghorn of a speaker continued to blare the same tune repetitively. Men marched asleep to the sound of a kick which banged and banged. Then all of a sudden there was a change, a melody, a twist of fate within a space which had once been so cold. 

Anthony Fade are an Australian duo with a sense of purpose. Having previously released on Tomahawk, Lost Palms and House Crime they now feature on Shall Not Fade accompanied by a legend in the form of Andres. He steps up to remix "Same Tune".

The 3rd edition of the Dance 2017 series is a double A side featuring a track from the highly regarded Palms Trax and also the debut production from Secretsundaze aka Giles Smith & James Priestley.

Secretsundaze step up with their very first production as a duo. Both Giles and James have a catalogue of production work already, Giles as Two Armadillos with the sadly departed Martin Dawson and James alongside partners Marco Antonio Spaventi and Dan Berkson.

'Motorway Jam’ is a peak time, Detroit inspired burner with a rough analogue bassline and atmospheric detail on the top end. Keep your eyes peeled for more music from the London pair coming soon.

Ilana Bryne (@ilanamusic) has us feeling blissful with her debut EP 'Low Earth Orbit' on @violet’s @naivetrax imprint.

The Midwest producer announces herself with a four-track effort traversing ravey breakbeat to shimmering late-night UKG, including  a compelling Ciel (@cl_lit) remix.

‘Feelin’ Myself’ sets off with a steady percussive line and underlying bass throbs, before masterfully combining a low-slung house groove,  gurgling flows of acid and a synth line that toes the line between subtle and epic. We're feelin' it, too.
