Not long before having released 5 tracks with the No.1 Hard Techno label in the world DSR DIGITAL, The mighty Ramon Tapia's label Say what? In which he made 50th in the HYPE Peaktime/Driving Beatport charts, The largest techno label in France DOLMA recordings, The very well renown Eclipse records- along with there side hard techno label Black Square recordings, Technological recordings in Italy and he also runs his own label HAUTBOXx Records/Events.

Charles Fortier alias Kressel, fut conquit par la musique électronique depuis la fin des années 90. Il a ensuite découvert et maîtrisé certains programmes de séquence musicale tel qu’Ableton Live pour composer et manipuler des rythmes et des grooves. Ses plus grandes influences furent profondémment impreignées dans les sonorités techno et techno minimal des étiquettes Minus, Kompakt, Perlon, Mobilee, Resopal, Trapez et Get physical.

Depuis février 2009, Kressel signe et co-signe des compositions musicales minimal et tech house publiées sur les étiquettes tel que Doot, Aenaria, Minimal Brain Damage, Power Recording, Move The Masses, Eresys Recording, Stereo Tension, Pronto Musique, Mile End Recording, Imagine et Plaisirs Sonores.

Se produisant dans divers évènements depuis 2006, la performance en direct de production musicale fut sa marque distinctive. Très dansant, son Live fut joué à différents endroits tel que le Savoy du Métropolis dans le cadre des Piknic Électronik du festival Mutek, au Festival de Musique Émergeante (FME) en Abitibi-Temiscamingue, au Pacha Club (NY), au Salon Daomé, au Circus Afterhours, au Stereo Nightclub, au Streo Bar et à l'Espace-Réunion.

Sound Designer, Sound Engineer, and Eclectic Electronic Music DJ/Producer from Italy. 

My main focus as an artist is what I like to call 'Cinematic Bass Music,' a mix of influences from deep, dark cinematic soundtracks and heavy underground bass music, with special attention on sound design and sonic explorations.

HydraTek is the name that summarizes my artistic vision:
'Hydra' recalls the mythology and is epitomized by an aggressive, distinctive sound that’s become my signature in both sound design projects and electronic music productions;
’Tek’ is about my continuous research for high-tech and futuristic sonic explorations, trying to push
electronic music forward to explore new frontiers.

The different 'heads' of the hydra are a metaphor for my eclecticism. The two polarities in the name can sometimes be found in a harsh contrast between delicate, emotive melodies and twisted, abrasive basslines.

With a strong influence and passion for modern film soundtracks, I strive to provide a concept and storytelling inside my music, even inside club-oriented tracks.

My current production style involves a combination of Dark Techno with a distinct cinematic influence, in which I like to insert melodic, emotional, deep, and a hint of brighter elements.
