From two culturally opposite sides of the Western Cape comes Father, the collaborative project of Arthur Fisher and Francois Bruwer. Two complete strangers turned best friends, brought together by a passion for music in the student town of Stellenbosch, Father has been rapidly climbing the ranks of the electronic music scene. Progressive house, indie dance, dark disco and techno are Father’s musical mother tongue and the tools with which they’ll keep you moving and grooving through the night. SHMIKESSS is a Cape Town based cinematographer, DJ, live performer and producer that has always been drawn to the immersive narrative of the audio visual experience. It shows in his music taste - guiding listeners through a profound journey of soundscapes. Inspired by a deeper psychological narrative of collective consciousness, he aims to create sounds (and imagery) that celebrate the magnificence of life in all its forms. SHMIKESSS' sound is a dynamic fusion of groovy, racey, bouncy beats and rolling bass lines, shifting effortlessly between ethereal moments and bursts of pure, high-energy euphoria. As well as his individual act, he also performs as one half of @thelostboysza duo.

In a short time, SHMIKESSS has seen rapid evolution and growth in his productions,  first releasing on legendary Berlin label - Katermukke and its sister label MUKKE, then with releases on South African labels Back To Funk and Imprint. He's since co-launched his own label Tomorrow's Monday Records (@tmrwsmdy), fostering community among Cape Town's growing scene and connecting it with a network that extends across the world. SHMIKESSS is patiently honing his sound in terms of new productions and live sets while looking to align with the right labels. His distinct sound and contagious energy has quickly launched him as a DJ, artist and events co-ordinator around many festivals in South Africa, as well as abroad in Hawaii and Germany.

Renowned for his signature blend of diverse sounds, he draws inspiration from every conceivable angle. It all began with a passion for music and an insatiable desire to perform, and feed off the energy of dance floors. Talia is determined to break the mould of expectations and bring a feeling of limitless energy, groove and emotionally designed sound to her audience.

Her taste grows increasingly boundless. While she is well known for mastering the realms of psycadelic & driving house and techno, with a cheeky indie flare, her musical territory has stretched into deeper, more tribal and emotive sounds. She never holds back in delivering meticulously curated flow and always transports her listeners on a harmonious musical journey.

Talia has been slaying on a broad range of dance floors across Southern Africa. From outdoor festivals, to underground clubs, her vast collection of music pushes her to all realms of the electronic music scene.

Talia has recently launched her event series, “Senses” with the aim of creating a softer, more held environment amongst rave culture, and has sparked a community of like-minded supporters amidst its uniqueness. Senses is an ode to the feminine, a theme close to her heart, and celebrated amongst her community.

Keinemusik is a network with the label as the pulse pumping centre. Driven particularly by the spirit that moves the collective behind the imprint. The spirit to find your own agenda and let nobody get in the way. The spirit of refining House and Techno off the beaten path. Be it within their own tracks, within productions of other sorts or DJ-sets. The spirit of recall value within record- and flyer-artworks and everything intermediate in word and image surrounding releases and parties. And the spirit of diversification – Rampa’s effect-gadget-venture TEILE being one example. Keinemusik’s own booking department ‘Worldwide Dancing Club’, established in 2018, being another.

Keinemusik has been around since 2009. It has been naming an existing friendship and linked interests of the four members – &ME, Adam Port, Rampa and Reznik. A more or less constant count of five releases per year have been released ever since, solely laid down by members of the crew. And a considerable count of label-parties went down, not only in Berlin, but around all international focal points for electronic music. And surely, there’s plenty more where those came from.
