After having released a track on "Sudbeats Vol. 2", the always consistent Cid Inc makes his long over due Sudbeat solo release.

"Temazcal" is a groovy little number, deep and chunky and full of swagger. The muted bass sounds encapsulate your mind, before a luscious soundscape unfurls as the dreamy tinkles cascade like a warm blanket of sound. The combination of these elements generates a mystical hazy feeling of beauty, and is mesmerising.

"Response" is a hypnotising and warm, subtly layered gem. This is a masterpiece for the mind as it crystal clear production leaps out at you, creating an almost 3D vortex of sound, and all the while, the track is gently building creating tension and atmosphere as it meanders effortlessly and beautifully as a perfect dance floor moment.

And the already known ‘Fragile Circle’ closes the package. This track doesn’t need much of an introduction, as it was one of the gems included in the outstanding Hernan Cattaneo’s Balance and has been played by Hernan himself all over the world during the album tour.

'Never Lose Your Innocence' is full of groove with its sultry bassline paving the way, shrouded in warm pads, cool percussion and nice fx that gel wonderfully as this builds and the arpeggiator develops before unexpectedly changes key, delivering added warmth and lifts the track again. This accomplished gem oozes quality and it’s a real winner.

'Bustan' picks up the energy levels as this dreamlike powerhouse goes hell for leather! The bassline frantically paves the way, while its lushness wraps around your mind, delivering a fantastical effect. Solid stuff!

ST221 marks the newest release from our good friend Paul Kardos, who comes back to us with a solo material called "Downpour EP" after the huge success of his 'Metamorphosis LP'. 

Having previously released his music on such prominent labels as Nick Warren's Hope Recordings and Perspectives Digital, Paul prepared the EP that consists of four tracks: Firm Resolution, Downpour, Lying Prophet, and Such Is the World. 

All of them are unique, yet have similarities such as a great composition with perfect buildups and breakdowns, groovy basslines, and a smart use of melodies that will stick in your head. Check out this elegant in measure collection of music from Paul Kardos, making for yet another top notch addition to Soundteller’s impeccable discography.

microcastle begins 2020 by welcoming Cornucopia back to the label for a new EP. The mysterious artist makes a much-anticipated follow-up to the July 2018 release ‘Forever Gone’. The three-track offering saw a wide spectrum of play and support from some of the underground’s top tastemakers in Adam Port, Ame, Baikal, Dixon, Frankey & Sandrino, Guy J, Jimi Jools, Laurent Garnier, Luca Bacchetti, Patrice Baumel and Solomun. With a release on Multinotes to highlight 2019, Cornucopia now lands back on microcastle with ‘River of Memories’ to begin the new year. 

Elusive and organic in equal measure, the transcendent nature of Cornucopia has the rare ability to unite a cross section of music lovers. The romantic sounds of ‘River of Memories’ sits as perhaps the most apt illustration, invoking a rare combination of hope, heartache, reflection and meditation across it’s eleven-minute storyboard. Shrouded in mystery for nearly three years after countless live airings, it’s the pensive nature of ‘Holding You Tight When The World Collapses’ that follows. Rich in tone and texture, there is also a keen emphasis on rhythm and groove, as exotic drums and low-slung basslines marry fragmented melodies and wispy atmospherics, creating just the right balance of tension and emotion before melting down into the timeless sensibilities and metallic clusters of the EPs closer ‘Orion’. Cid Inc's Replug Records ushers in the summer season by welcoming Kamilo Sanclemente and David Barragan to the label for their debut EP. The former, long regarded as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents has found a home on Balance Music, Beat Boutique and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. The latter, also hailing from Colombia and perhaps better known to progressive music fans as Dabeat, has adopted his given name for this distinguished project. Much like Kamilo, David has showcased his music on a wide assortment of the underground's premiere imprints, most notably Beatfreak Recordings, Hope Recordings and Proton Music. As frequent studio partners in the past, Kamilo and David now debut on Replug with 'Time Writer'. 

Drawing on a variety of fresh designs and sleek rhythmic concepts the EP begins with its title and showcase piece 'Time Writer'. On a backbone of warm beats comes smooth contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Subtle yet stirring, an atmospheric glow encases the framework, as gentle arps and effervescent effects converge in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as the breakdown commences with a buzzing lead line set atop a redolent backdrop. Trance inducing and hugely poignant, its euphoric nature sets the course towards a musically enlightened finale. 

The companion piece 'Relive' continues the trance inspired themes of its predecessor.  From its full, wonky groove comes spacey effects and hypnotic arps. Ghostly vocals and placid atmospheres build an emotive resonance across the first movement, perfectly segueing into an expansive centrepiece. A realm within the story, the break melts down to a stunning display of reflective melodies, free flowing in nature and elevating the mood before playing out over a colourful final act.

Having recorded more than thirty productions since the inception of their partnership, the creative synergy between Kamilo and David continues to grow. Their Replug debut sees a further evolution in their collaborative journey, with two creations that once again find them at the forefront of the progressive movement.
