Celebrating its 21st Season as Miami's flagship professional orchestra, MISO, The Miami Symphony Orchestra, represents the exceptional talent and diversity that mirrors this city's own international and multicultural richness with 80 professional musicians selected from the finest artists around the world. 

MISO offers an in-school arts and education program for elementary students in Miami-Dade Public Schools and permanently provides free or specially priced seating to students and senior citizens to ensure they have access to professional classical music experiences of the highest quality. 

Founded in 1989 by the late Maestro Manuel Ochoa, since 2006, the baton has been in the hands of Maestro Eduardo Marturet, a Venezuelan composer and conductor who envisions MISO as a world-class professional symphony anchored in Miami. 

Currently, MISO receives grants from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and is designated a major cultural organization. he orchestras also receives grants from the Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council, the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment of the Arts.

It offers highlights from the pasts 30th seasons with some of your old favorites, but also includes recordings from our conceptually new concerts at the Miami Design District and our last concert at the Adrienne Arsht Center. With your continued support we have consolidated a unique symphony orchestra which has become a major force in the musical world reflecting the character and personality of the South Florida community.

As an artist and poet, my focus is being authentic to myself. My art is unapologetic, carrying depth and emotion. My writing and spoken word are the same but in a more clarified way; being pure and unfiltered. I believe that art, in all forms, should not be dictated by audience but rather that it must remain as an unbound act of expression.
