The thing with Tyler at the end, I noticed that he quickly gets better through the scene.  He started out barely able to talk and holding his lower jaw, and he's already sounding better by the time Marla comes up and damn near sounds normal by the time the first building explodes, all in under 2 minutes.

This makes me thing of Jim Gaffigan in American Dreamer.  Not only being a comedian doing an acting thing, but just something you wouldn't picture him doing.

Interesting how Jeremy talked about the human race’s potential future desire to revert back to non-computer related things since Dune’s whole world is based upon computers being banned. Humans recognize their overdependence on ai and just ban it... 

A Matter of Life and Death from 1946 is all about a trial in which a British pilot must defend his right to live after surviving a plane crash, great film, same directors as The Red Shoes. 

The writing in the DCEU definitely could have been better, but it also suffered a lot from the corporate bureaucratic mess that is Warner Media. Every single exec wanted to go in a different direction.

I think an equally interesting question would be: what are bad characters who don't die a horrible enough way? There's one selfish bastard in Train To Busan that I swear needed to die an incredibly monstruous death for how shitty he was al through the film, and I was disappointed when he didn't.

I've always thought of "Tyler" dying as a result not of the act of shooting himself, but a manifestation of him no longer feeling like he is not in control, and if suicide is what it takes, he is willing to do it. Norton tells Pitt that the gun is not in the non real Tyler's hand, it's in his own hand, that to me implies he is realizing he's the one who decides and not Tyler, who is never going to shoot since Pitt clearly doesn't want to die, he freaks out when Norton shoots the truck with the bomb, so Norton has all the power now because he is not afraid to do whatever it takes to stop him including dying for it. "Not my head, Tyler. Our head" is pretty telling to me, and the last thing he tells Pitt is "My eyes are open". He is also not as meek by that point, because he's been doing fight club as himself too, and he no longer needs Pitt. PS: I also like Coco better than Soul... by far
