The sound of Ghost Tiger is a mix of '60s girl groups, classical composition and African rhythmic influences with soulful vocals and spacious sounds that culminate in an invigorating approach to folk pop.

Ghost Tiger was formed in 2011 out of songstress Alixandra Macmillan-Fiedel’s quest to expand her sound. As a solo artist, Alix grew up with the music of her father, film composer Brad Fiedel (The Terminator, True Lies), but after years of playing on her own she felt the need to incorporate new textures and ideas. Ghost Tiger was named one of Santa Barbara's Best New Bands by the Santa Barbara Independent in both 2011 and 2012. 

The band is in the process of finishing up their debut album Some Friends Feel Like Family, a collection of seven songs. Six of the seven songs were recorded at the magical Panoramic House in Stinson Beach above the ocean with talented producer Jason Quever of Papercuts (Dean Wareham/Beach House/Vetiver). The song “Science Camp” was recorded with notable composer/producer Christopher Tyng (Futurama/The O.C.) in his beautiful Star Hill Studio as part of the Grow Music Project. Some Friends Feel Like Family is a testament to this line up’s collaboration which centers around Macmillan-Fiedel’s honest and heartfelt songwriting and Norlinger’s lush guitar soundscapes. 

Kiki Ebsen, is an accomplished singer and songwriter, known for backing up such artists as Christopher Cross, Wilson Phillips, Boz Scaggs, Tracy Chapman and many more. She has released five solo records. Her latest, Scarecrow Sessions, is a collection of jazz standards inspired by songs from her dad's life and career to be released as a gift to him on Father's Day 2014. The album features an all-star band with John Patitucci on bass, Chuck Loeb on guitar, Clint de Ganon on drums and Henry Hey on piano. David Mann is producing and adds the saxophone as well.
