This is a studio mix, started with an initial live take and then combed over meticulously with automated filters, eq, and fx. This is the same setup I use to play out, minus the automation. There is rarely a point when only one track is playing. I always try to find mixes that feel like a new track emerges from the combination. I imagine the optimal listening environment to be eyes-closed with headphones on, but I also hope you will feel an irresistible urge to move at some points ;)

Bio:

Salva Coromina  aka ABSIS. 
His involvement in the Barcelona scene began in the late 90s under the alias MouseDown/MouseUp, having years of experience as Dj resident in club such as Razzmatazz (The loft) and festivals like Sonar.
He has always been exploring the deeper side of electronic music, moving from ambient to techno. ABSIS currently runs his residency at Laut club in Barcelona with the Midline parties... he is also a resident at the MOSTRA festival in Barcelona and his productions are published on labels such as hivern discs, Affin and Oslated among others.

Mariachiara Troianiello, the Italian sound artist behind the moniker Katatonic Silentio, works at the crossroads of electronic music, performing arts and sound studies. Active as a DJ for more than 15 years, her sets adopt multiple forms, fluctuating between an analogue past and a technological, fast-paced future. At times, her sets focus on pure abstraction, consisting of ethereal soundscapes that seek to transcend the tangible through a mix of musique concrète, world, spoken word, ambient or dub. Monochrome presents, 𝖕𝖗𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖒𝖕𝖘 𝓥 : Forest On Stasys, Aura Sonora.

This spring, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
The creativity of Forest On Stasys is Influenced by tribal minimalist techno in the nineties and the deepest and most abstract techno currently. In his tracks the most seductive elements are the use of resonant basses perfectly combined with long and reverberated pads, extensive sonorous landscapes that are modified by continuous movement of LFO, solid grooves and strident percussions.
But not everything that comes out of his head is created with an intention to be used on the dance floor. He has a great admiration for drone and ambient tracks, without a rhythmic pattern that predominates, where the main factor is to captivate the listener with melodies that can be marked by a strong melancholy or with notes that give a certain feeling of satisfaction depending on his current mood.

In 2014 Cryo Chamber got some of the most prominent dark ambient artists together to synchronize their studios during a year of collaboration creating the album Cthulhu in tribute to H.P. Lovecraft. With Azathoth Cryo Chamber double the effort with a 2 CD release follow up. No less than 20 artists has been working for the last year to synchronize and co-create Azathoth. Azathoth is a collaboration NOT a compilation. 

Azathoth is an Outer God in the Cthulhu Mythos and Dream Cycle stories of H. P. Lovecraft and other authors. 

Azathoth's precise appearance is only hinted at throughout the Mythos, and indeed may be unknowable by mortal beings. It is described as occupying a position outside of the universe, where it is attended by a cohort of alien servants

Cio D’Or is an artist, composer and DJ who seamlessly bridges the worlds of techno, art and composi,on. Her artistic drive and creative process begins with an idea that emerges from silence and aims to convey something inexpressible and indescribable. Her work testifies to the timeless possibilities of music and movement.
Cio D’Or’s sound is characterised by attention to detail, weaving together ethereal textures, subtle rhythmic complexity and an undeniable emotional depth, creating a balance between architectural precision and fluid, cinematic immersion. Each element is placed with intention and shaped by a keen awareness of structure and space.
Her releases on Semantica, Prologue and Kynant are timeless expressions of her minimalist and cinematic approach to electronic music.
Known for her dramaturgically structured DJ sets and cinematic productions, she has performed at Berghain, Dekmantel, Bassiani, De School and festivals worldwide.
Cio D’Or’s sound blends architectural precision with immersive atmospheres, informed by influences from Eno to Vainiø, from Bach to Stravinsky, and rooted in decades of sonic exploration. Her music continues to evolve. Her lifelong study of music does, too.

Designer of an instantly recognizable sound, she produces warm and deep complex structures, constantly on a fence between light and dark cliffs, noises and silences, cinematic settings and authentic presence. Part of a family of intricated sounds brought by artists such as Aleksi Perälä, Alva Noto, and Ryuichi Sakamoto, she’s a high representative of the minimal movement. She honors painter and pioneer Frank Stella’s quote “The aim of art is to create space,” she does through deep refined electronic music compositions and stripped piano pieces, delicate yet substantial.
Intriguing and engaging, her musical minimalism invites the listeners to bridge gaps with their thoughts, making them active in the artistic process and, therefore, contributing to the immersive effect. The mental activity is yet effortless for them: minimalism allows a focus on the essentials, by eliminating the dispensable sonic excesses and by creating space. Such a process brings mental freedom to the listeners, by breaking through the wall that a too-dense track would normally build. Across both mixes you will hear Cio’s unparalleled ability for sculpting minimalism and sonic architecture, masterfully recontextualizing familiar and obscure tracks alike, breathing new life into them and unveiling hidden dimensions. She dissects, reassembles and creates intricate connections between disparate sounds, all flawlessly executed with an alchemist’s touch.
Prisma 33 starts at a slower tempo, delicately building into an eruption of psychedelic minimalism. Dada grows with kinetic energy, with Cio sculpting sounds and textures into a deep trip where time seems to bend and dissolve, finishing with an unexpected wildcard that only a master selector could make work.

These are my personal rules based on experience and love for music, promoters and audiences:
