Jedi Wright is an electronic musician, producer, step-sequencer, and sonic sketcher dabbling in experimental techno, electronica, and indie industrial-rock. 

He's equally comfortable working in Logic Pro X as he is using Ableton Live Suite. He started off DJing back in 1995 and quickly transitioned over to producing in Roland's MC-808, 505, and 303 alongside an original polyphonic Moog Minimoog–allegedly modified directly by Bob Moog himself, or so the story goes by Ian Smith (formerly of S.F.'s S.P.A.Z. collective) and a Korg M-1. Later, he dabbled in Reason and FL Studio. Along the way, he befriended and helped promote several events, ranging from John-Emmanuel Gartmann's Tsunami (formerly Tsunami Trance) productions in N.Y.C. to Trevor Wyse's Green Sector parties in Southern California.

Professionally, he's served as a founding team member of The Do LaB, helping lay the foundations of the SoCal-based collective, and served as Director of Media Relations for Rooftop Promotion (later evolved into Visions From the Roof), where he promoted a diverse range of record labels and artists including Tresor Records, Simon Posford’s Twisted Records (including his Hallucinogen and Sphongle releases), along with one of Ableton's founders, Robert Henke, and his music produced under Monolake/Imbalance Computer Music [ml/i], through a partnership with Germany's EFA Distribution. He's currently working on several related events and ventures.

Subsurface Presents is an underground party series based out of Philadelphia. Providing some of the finest acts in underground music in some of the most abstract places.

Circle's original incarnation in the 90's as a DJ and Promotions crew was integral in establishing Philadelphia as a major hub for electronic music along the east coast of the US, producing some the region’s most well-known events and club nights. Building upon the legacy of Josh Wink and King Britt, as promoters Circle focused on the deeper elements of house and techno in their earliest parties and even to an extent their massive events opting to focus the bookings on luminaries such as Robert Hood, Doc Martin, Derrick Carter, Stacey Pullen, Juan Atkins, Idjut Boys and Global Communication as opposed to your typical rave headliners at the time.

As DJs, Circle established a unique blend of tracky and moody house music that drew heavily from sounds coming out of the London, Germany, Detroit and Chicago at the time. For the past 20 years, Circle has been gracing dance floors internationally playing timeless sets for the masses. The amorphous Circle crew is comprised of several talented producers and DJs that have played major roles in it’s growth over the years. In its most recent incarnation as producers, Rob Paine (Workship Recordings) and Okeef have been the predominant faces to date, with longtime collaborator Sean Thomas (Sound Between Movement) contributing to several tracks as well.

With three solid releases under their belt on Philadelphia’s Worship Records and an upcoming EP on Leftroom Limited, 2014 is definitely looking to be the year Circle jumps back out to the forefront.
