CIRCUITNOISE
Circutinoise is a random fluctuation in an electrical signal, a characteristic of all electronic circuits. Noise generated by electronic devices varies greatly, as it can be produced by several different effects. Thermal and shot noise are unavoidable and due to the laws of nature, rather than to the device exhibiting them, while other types depend mostly on manufacturing quality and semiconductor defects.

Sonologyst is the solo project of Raffaele Pezzella, focused on the exploration of sound as a tool for investigating contemporary mythologies. His work moves between documentary-inspired sound practices rooted in scientific and Fortean research, and the construction of post-industrial sonic environments.  As Sonologyst, Pezzella’s albums, including works released on Cold Spring Records, are noted for their cinematic scope and psychological depth. Critics have praised his ability to merge documentary realism with abstract atmospherics, creating immersive sound worlds that feel both intellectual and otherworldly, inviting listeners to inhabit the spaces between science and speculation. Since 2014, Pezzella has been serving as the curator of Unexplained Sounds, a 'Global Network of Aural Disorientation.' The network's primary label, Unexplained Sounds Group, was established in 2015. Currently, the network encompasses subsidiaries such as Eighth Tower Records, ZeroK, and Reverse Alignment. In 2021, Eighth Tower label expanded its offerings to include book publications and an online magazine (Eighth Tower). Additionally, Pezzella hosts a streaming radio program titled 'The Recognition Test.' Sonologyst's recordings have been released by notable labels including Cold Spring Records, Unexplained Sounds Group, Eighth Tower Records.
