Hi Guys, my name is Sophie DeBattista, Born and raised on the beautiful Maltese Islands, and residing in London since 2012.
An interior designer by profession, I really enjoy creating, playing and listening to music. One of my favourite hobbies  in life is entertaining commuters on the London Underground as a busker. 
Actually me and my acoustic guitar go a long way, having had the privilege of playing across the UK live music circuit for the last 7 years.  
A couple of years ago I was also lucky to receive a scholarship from The Mayor of London from which  I studied music at The ICMP faculty. It was here where my passion for music took a strong surge forward. In time I graduated with a 1st class BA Hons Degree in songwriting. This is where ‘S.O.S’, the Musical Artist and my electro/pop sound  was created. 
My writing is often inspired from real life events involving friends, family and even myself.

After originally studying visual art at Central Saint Martins, Marcus moved into music and theatre and has been a writer and performer for over twenty years. He has studied singing with Mary King, devising with Emma Rice’s School for Wise Children and acting with Chris New at The Actors Centre.

His show Postcards from God - The Sister Wendy Musical has been presented at Jermyn Street Theatre in London's West End, at Hackney Empire Studio Theatre and South London Theatre, with its Concept Cast Recording receiving airplay from Elaine Paige and Graham Norton on BBC Radio Two. His debut album Quicksilver - The Masquerade Macabre, singles, EPs and audiobook of poetry have received critical acclaim and local radio airplay across the UK.

Marcus has performed live sets and solo shows at venues and festivals including:

Through Southbank Centre's Voicelab, he sang with Mercury Music Prize winners Elbow, jazz improvisation icon Bobby McFerrin, beat boxer Shlomo and UK jazz legend Ian Shaw in choirs led by Dom Stichbury, Laka D and Mary King. Other highlights include a star studded celebration of David Bowie at Union Chapel which also featured Glen Matlock, David McAlmont, The Magic Numbers and Dan Gillespie Sells of The Feeling, and supporting Tom Robinson at a fundraiser for the Russian LGBT Network.

He has written articles for Time Out, Beige and Polari Magazine and with live performances, readings and screenings of his work at venues including BAC, the Kings Head and the ICA, Marcus has established a firm reputation as a versatile man of words and music.

They are three: Enoch Bledsoe (vocals, guitar), Natalie Bledsoe (vocals, bass guitar) and Oakley Munson (drums). They’ve been called acid rock, alt-rock, riff rock, punk rock, melodic garage rock, flower punk – take your pick. A band that thrived in the underground house show scene, playing garage rock with psychedelic undertones, punk tendencies and pop melodies, excellent at having fun and pissing people off, Ancient Whales are a combo based in the southeast that have performed with The Nude Party, The Shine Brothers, The Humms, Greg Cartwright of Reigning Sound, Axxa/Abraxas, Sin Kitty, Anwar Sadat, DJ Jared Swilley (of Black Lips), The New Sound of Numbers, Mr. Elevator & The Brain Hotel, Allah-Las and many more. They began collaborating in Athens, Georgia circa 2008 after being in the bands Twin Tigers, Firework Child and Puddin' Tang. In 2010, songwriters Enoch & Natalie recorded a lo-fi album that began the journey of the Ancient Whales. 
 
AW has hosted a cast of talented musicians such as Shaun Ringsmuth of the band Street Sects, BP from Of Montreal, and Oakley Munson now in the Black Lips. In 2012 they recorded the Birthing EP with Joel Hatstat, followed by the albums My Bed Is The Ceiling and Vestiges of Tails Appear in All of Us recorded by Ryan Rapsys in Asheville, North Carolina and released on cassette tape via Wiener Records, a subsidiary of Burger Records. Ancient Whales performed on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim show Bloodfeast in 2018, where Enoch accidentally set a trashcan on fire. They were nominated for a Flagpole Magazine Music Award and have been featured at Popfest, AthFest and Do You Hear We music festivals.
Vestiges of Tails Appear in All of Us is set to be released worldwide April 24th, 2020.
