After hearing this three times I think I came up with too much to say for a soundcloud comment, but it's strange and spacy and beautiful. Worth the hype.

This song, the first single off my 5th album, is about a failed relationship. Together so much we grew apart, & I cheated. My guilt & his crushed look are ingrained in me forever. Although all my relationships failed, that’s ok. “I would rather live a life alone in truth than live a life together in lies.” 

They say NYC is Fun Hell & LA is Shitty Heaven. This 5th album is about Fun Hell: a heatwave, lost relationship, & self-discovery amidst chaos & uncertainty. When life slaps you, turn around & say “you hit like a bitch”.
