Back at it again with a new single! Plus I’m also pleased to announce that the next Catalyst album is titled “The Future Is Hot” & I'm aiming to release it in late Spring/early Summer of 2025 with a few more tracks left to finish.

This song is insane & I mean it. It’s track 1 off my upcoming album and we kick off hard from the reversed beat to the lyrics… which I would describe as an autistic “Illmatic” by Nas where I’m strong, I’ve been through so much adversity, & occasionally there’s a light hearted bar here about sex, drugs, Soho, & searching for flats on Zoopla while alone in the club. Real life, that was me last summer.

I started work on SGB last spring when I playing with my 7” copy of “Between The Sheets” by The Isley Brothers. The biggest inspiration sound wise for “Solid Gold Blackberry” was “Drop” by The Pharcyde from 1995, on some J Dilla shit where a reverse loop leads to something crazy.

The title is an embodiment of swag. In 2006 Pharrell Williams had his Blackberry phone coated on gold & him flexing it on TV during a freestyle is pure Hip-Hop heritage. I love that video & I was able to sample it since there’s no beat to it & I suppose it’s similar to UK producers slapping on an old Skepta or Wiley acapella from the same period of the 2000’s & raking in bare views online.

So yeah, new album new me. I really want to make a music video for this tune and the best thing you can do right now is to keep listening to my work and telling your friends about it. 2025 is gonna be the best year for my music and I'm just getting better & better.
