Liquid Love Drops - an exploration of hypnotic and enchanting sounds and entrancing patterns.

Liquid Love Drops has been entrancing booties across the bay and beyond, her vibrant personality, skills as a sound track selectress combined with a few of her ear worm bass heavy mixes and her high energy show that captures your attention and traps you on the dance floor.

As a professional soundselectress and dj, she has been recognized for her skills and chosen by other promoters to share the stage as an opening or closing act for acts such as Glitch Mob, Beats Antique, Little Dragon, Thievery Corporation, Of the Trees, Balkan Bump, An-ten-nae, Marty Party, Joker, Kalya Scintilla, Kaminanda, and Random Rab.

Dirtwire is a traveler’s collage of Earth-borne instruments and electronic sounds foraged from Electric Forest to the mountains of Tuva. From their home on the west coast of the United States to far-flung destinations all over the world, these troubadours are welcomed for speaking the most unifying language there is: music.

Every live set is a magician’s surprise show, an invitation to experience instruments that are usually heard only as samples in electronic music. It is a celebration of the art of the instrument, not just the sound you can record from it. Future revival, swamptronica, spaghetti-step, electro-twang — whatever you call Dirtwire’s music, what matters is that you can dance to it, as sure as a lizard dances in the desert.

Enriched with diverse life experiences from many parts of the world, charged with a passion for inspiring and sexy artistic expressions, CJ Stone brings his focus and attention to “the sound”.  CJ is an energetic, dedicated, audio design student adept at music recording, mixing, mastering, on-location recording, sound design and audio post for film.  He is able to realize the vision of a project by effectively managing the necessary assets, people, facilities and technology needed to bring the project to completion within a required production budget and timeline.  Along with assisting others to achieve their audio desires, CJ continues to actively move forward in search of his own evolving sound.

Music has been a part of CJ’s life ever since he was 8 years old when got a dual cassette player/recorder for his birthday.  Growing up he never had a lot of money, so he would save as much for new music & blank tapes when he could but mostly recorded songs off the radio and borrowed tapes from friends and family to copy.  Even though music was always in his ears and he did manage to acquire a few instruments (piano, acoustic & electric guitar, bongos) and even took music lessons, he never really acquired the “talent” for actually playing music on an instrument.  Dreams of being a “rock-star” seemed so unreachable.  However that never deterred him to continue recording songs, making mix tapes, chopping / mixing / mashing songs up on his cassette recorder.  Essentially he made a lot of noise along with beautiful playlists for the “ladies” he was enamored with.  Then when he was around 10 he found his ‘voice’.  Not so much singing voice, but his weird alien, bleep-blop voice.  He also started to realize that he could make his voice emulate those instruments he couldn’t actually play.  With the innovation of making weird noises on his cassette player plus his newly discovered vocal talent, CJ, without even knowing it, gave birth to his love and passion of electronic music, which is still with him today.

It took many years from loosing himself and discovering himself to come full circle to where he is today.  Now armed with extensive knowledge and experience, not only in audio technology but also in life, love, people, philosophy etc., CJ is determined to not loose sight of his passion of music.  He is committed to “the sound”.

CJ is also an avid video and image editor and enjoys photography and digital painting.  Outside of the studio CJ enjoys free-form, contact-improv dance, cooking, road-trips, spending time with his son, hanging out and hiking in nature and participating in outdoor music-festivals such as Beloved, Lighting in a Bottle and Burning Man.
