Eagles & Butterflies has led a a charmed life since the outset really, with his productions picked up by John Digweed's Bedrock and more recently, a residency at Space Ibiza's Friday night shindig, Clandestin, to his name. His latest cut marked his return to the Spread Your Wings imprint  and made our single of the week as we championed the heady, jam-packed series of tracks made for the floor.

Following  on from the release Eagles and Butterflies has now  exclusively shared his set from last weeks performance for Bedrock alongside John Digweed and Max Cooper for all of us not fortunate enough to make it down to Fire. iI might just be time to sit back and watch as Eagles & Butterflies takes flight…

Days Of Being Wild is a label we've been keeping a keen eye on over the last 12 months or so. With their tagline of 'slightly deranged club music' it's hard not to be interested, and they have soon caught the ear of Ivan Smagghe, Andrew Weatherall, Chloe and Scott Fraser amongst others. We approached them to record a mix for us and they presented us with this fine live session recorded by label head Catalepsia (aka Jerome Bazzanella) at their monthly DOBW session at Willerhof in France. We're informed there are lots of forthcoming tracks from the label included. Strap in, lets get wild...

It's amazing when a setlist sounds just as good in person as it does virtually. It means that the artist feeds off the audience, creates an essence and imbues it in his set by choosing the tracks that compose it. Happy to share our 20th release on the label with you and it's a pleasure to welcome Desert Island Disco. A collective based out of Lisbon & London who have delivered for us the Shell Beach EP, a collection of four sunny cuts rich in colour and melody and packed with dance-floor power perfect for the rise in temperatures. On the remix Joe Morris applies his balearic beach breaks vibe while Statues slows the tempo with a chugging Italo-house refix.

Resistor is Shunt Voltage’s debut release on Paisley Dark Records although they have appeared on the three Shelter Me complilation albums which raise funds for homelessness. This release comes hot on the heels of major support from Coleen “Cosmo” Murphy, who included their track Generator on her latest Balearic Breakfast album, Volume 3. She has also been giving heavy play to the bands limited vinyl release, To What Degree/Cowboys, which includes an A Space Age Freak Out remix of To What Degree.
Along with the original, the EP boasts with a trio of remixes from Leeds based producers, Cosmikuro who is by now a regular contributer to the label, Paisley Darks very own A Space Age Freak Out, aka label boss John Paynter & Ben lewis and rising stars Adult DVD. Finally, the fourth remix comes courtesty of Swedish producer Mindbender (When Disco Goes Wrong) .
In the words of the band, Resistor came about by trying out some newly programmed synth sounds and FX and mixing with some sequencer ris. This sound clash eventually lled out to a rough demo which the band tinkered around with eventually adding in a few vocal lines. The title continues their electrical theme and has a neat double edge to it.
Available from 4th July on Paisley Dark Records at Bandcamp and all major digital retailers including Beatport, Juno, iTunes and Amazon.

Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent. Their esoteric style of dance music has gained them gigs at some of Europe’s premier club spots such as Renate in Berlin, Stalingrad in Paris, Geneva’s La Graviere and Powerhouse in Moscow in addition to being regular fixtures on the discerning festival circuit. Their monthly show on KMAH Radio is deemed essential and their podcast series is revered world wide for showcasing regular mixes from high caliber and lesser known DJ's.
