Black Merlin, or George Thompson to his Mum, first came to our attention with his outstanding Brunswick Drive 12" on Commander Weatherall's Bird Scarer label last year. Since then, we've kept a keen eye on his movements and his unique form of 80's inspired, cinematic and analogue heavy aesthetic has earned him further releases on the excellent World Unknown imprint and Mike Simonetti's New Jersey. Look out for an as yet untitled release on London's LN-CC. We are pleased to welcome him into the Clandestino fold.

Multicast Dynamics aka Samuel van Dijk delivered this much expected mix to us in the beginning of Spring. This mix took us a long time to listen repeatedly, from the moment it starts to the end, we were deeply indulged in the dreamlike whirls. Such feeling lingers apart from the change of the surrounding, it even strengthens with intense stimulation. His music is rich with levels of creativity, and there are also entrances and exits; it doesn’t lose itself because the change of the environment. UN #13 Multicast Dynamics

Alessandro Adriani steps up to the plate for the latest instalment in our Dimensions Mix Series. Hailing from Italy via Berlin, Alessandro has been studiously working away at developing a modern take on synth wave and industrial sounds from previous decades through his own production.  Via his label, Mannequin Records, where he's presented both new artists and obscure reissues from the 80s and 90s amounting to well over a hundred releases, and via his residency at Berghain with said label showcases, Adriani is owed a great deal of credit for the current resurgence in darker synth driven sounds that is evident on many of today's most discerning dance floors.

A listen to episode 124 will give you a glimpse into what to expect when Adriani comes to Dimensions 2018; a broad palette of sounds underpinned with energy and a brooding eeriness. He drops electro, techno, industrial and electronica to set a tone which is somehow retro and simultaneously futuristic. Definitely not one for the feint hearted!

When they aren't busy behind the decks of our favorite NY venues, Lychee curates the Spontaneous Affinity interview and podcast series, which recently celebrated the release of its first print publication and co-hosted our latest event with Evigt Mörker and Takaaki Itoh. 

Our good friend and frequent collaborator, they continue to play a large part in helping Sure Thing feel newly at home on the east coast, and many of you who have seen Lychee play can also attest to their ability to work a dance floor into a frenzy. Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent. Their esoteric style of dance music has gained them gigs at some of Europe’s premier club spots such as Renate in Berlin, Stalingrad in Paris, Geneva’s La Graviere and Powerhouse in Moscow in addition to being regular fixtures on the discerning festival circuit.
