@masha-adf: Neighbour feat Piper Davis - Light Breaker (Tad Wily remix)

HARD TON are the italian duo with the larger than life disco sound and a surprising love of metal - Fused together in 2008 from the musical loins of DJ Wawashi and heavy metal singer Max. Sylvester-styled falsettos conjure up memories of smoky dancefloors during the heady days of HI-NRG, which combined with a contemporary sound of accelerated beats and screaming acid basslines, shows a nod to the past can result in a slap across the face for the present. 

Using analogue and vintage gear, from the 303, 606, 707, Oberheim DMX, Korg Monopoly, MS20, Prophet V5, the music is as organic as synthetic music can be, their equipment living and dying by its own unpredictable rules.

We caught Peza soundtracking a beautifully sunny Saturday afternoon last September at the fantastic Festival No.6 and ever since then he's been on our hit list for a mix. Of course, we were already well aware of his super-cool edits on Authodiscotheque and A&R. If you've not heard his Human League re-interpretation; you simply aint dancing in the right places. Look out for a forthcoming remix of Tronik Youth's 'Splinter of the Mind's Eye' on Nein, and his next single 'Mekon' on Peter Herbert's Maxi Discs. Scottish folk could do worse than head to the Reading Rooms in Dundee on March 27th where Peza plays with Dicky Trisco and ALFOS. His mix for us is a beauty; very much the sound of where underground dance music is at in 2015 as far as we're concerned. Lock yourself in, Peza is at the controls...

With original and remix works out on labels like Nazca Records, Roam Recordings, Tom Tom Disco and Play Pal among others, this Mexican, New York based artist is definitively one to keep an eye on and has become one of our favourite artist of the moment.

We had the pleasure of having him on board on the label including an original track on the last compilation and also a remix on Andrem's EP, both receiving great feedbacks and both becoming club bangers.

In a short time,  releases have come thick and fast on a wide variety of labels from Correspondant, Ombra and Calypso amongst others. 1) Introduce yourself?

My name is Niv Ast, I’m a producer and dj based in Tel-Aviv

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months?

This year has had so many highlights its hard to choose. I've had the pleasure of playing in a lot of cool places in Europe and met some great people, also being able to release my music on some amazing labels. I'm really grateful.

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year?

Looking forward for my upcoming EP on Correspondant and another EP with Eliezer  on our own label (New Day Everyday).

Also a lot of upcoming remixes and gigs, all over the world.

Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent. Their esoteric style of dance music has gained them gigs at some of Europe’s premier club spots such as Renate in Berlin, Stalingrad in Paris, Geneva’s La Graviere and Powerhouse in Moscow in addition to being regular fixtures on the discerning festival circuit.
